This page will be the primary point for
all updates of the emulators and all utilities.
For now, there are three different families of Oric emulators : Amoric for Amigas, ArcOric for Acorns and
Euphoric for PCs.
There is action on the ORIC page !! Keep an eye on it !
Hardware, software, clubs, informations... all ORIC will be on this page.
Amoric 1.4a !
Amoric is the Oric emulator for 68020 and higher Amigas from
Jean-François Fabre.
Version 1.4a is faster (cpu emulation and display routine), an option to
enable/disable SPACE redefinition has been added, and saving a monochrome
screen works ok now.
Download it from here !
Also, Jeff has its old
emulator for X11 workstations.
ArcOric for Acorn Risc computers !
No doubt Acorn users will easily use it, this is
ArcOric V1.2 !
Euphoric 0.99h: on the road to final release !
Lots of changes, see historic file...
Euphoric has digital sound, have you listened this demo disk ?

Also, Euphorix 1.0
for linux is a stripped down version (tape configuration only) with Olivier Balet's X interface !
C cross-compilers are maintained by Alexios,
please follow this link !
Some tools :
New version of disklink from Philippe Menard.
This is the best way to transfer 3" oric disks to your PC, whether you have
a Microdisc or a Jasmin drive !
Convert euphoric 0.97 tape images
to .WAV files with oric2wav (for
Dos or Linux)
and write the file to real oric tapes with your favorite WAV player !
Btw, the contest for writing
Raider's image to a real tape is over,
the best WAV-player in the world names... Euphoric !
Convert Atmos -> PC, by Robert Chéramy,
let you choose individual files in a real Sedoric disk inserted in your
PC drive, and write them in tape format (CLOAD) on the PC.
New version CAP 1.2
Convert your old disk images to the new
format with
oric2mfm (DOS executable
here)
Format Oric real disks with your PC with
Robert Cheramy's Init program ! This program uses the
same syntax as Sedoric's INIT command, so it is easy to format 16 or 17
sectors/track disks !
Write disk images to real disks with
writedsk 2.0 (Dos version only).
You can write every sector sizes combinations, the program formats individual
tracks on the fly if needed (so it works faster if the disk already has already
been formatted, with Robert's INIT for example).
Read an Oric 3"1/2 or 5"1/4 disk on a PC
and use its image with the emulator (Dos version only, but tiny).
This is still the old version, building an old image format. I will soon upload
a new release reading nearly every exotic format...
Read your tapes with your soundcard and the readtape tool,
Linux and Dos
versions.
Transfer your programs with a parallel link and the oriclink tool,
Linux and Dos
versions.
Convert your Oric Basic files to text files,
Linux and Dos versions.
Use your favorite editor to write Oric Basic programs (forget the 80 chars
limitation...), then convert them to Oric files,
Linux and Dos versions.
