Tea For Two Blitz Chess instructions

T42 is in Oric tape format. You need an atmos with an 6551 based RS232 interface
at IO address 320h. With Euphoric, start a full configuration (with disks), then
CLOAD"T42"

Rules:
Standard Blitz rules, illegal moves are refused by the program (but see
Note). The program knows about rook-ing, pawn promotion and en-passant
	rules.

Note:	Blitz is usually played fast, and people sometimes play what would be
an invalid move regarding standard chess rules when they leave or move
their king under fire. This is allowed by the program (of course, the
immediate punition for this player is having his king taken 8-)
So, Tea For Two doesn't detect "pat" condition, when a player's king is
not under fire, but he cannot move : in such a case, he will surely not
move (unless he is silly ;-) and just laugh at his opponent 8-)) since
	this is a draw...
Mat condition is not detected either, the poor player will recognize it
or move and lose its king...

At any time:

You chat with your opponent using every printable characters.
Correct your mis-typing with DEL as usual, use Shift-Return for a
carriage return, and Shift-DownArrow for a Line Feed (needed when
	connected to unix workstations).

Before the game:

White may turn the board with Ctrl-S
Strong players may diminish their time with Ctrl-P or afford time to the
	opponent with Ctrl-O
The game starts when White makes its first move.

During the game:

Arrows and Return to select moves.
Unlike other chess programs, Tea For Two can be played fast : you can
prepare your move while your opponent is thinking. Select first the
"from" position, then move the cursor to the intended destination. As
soon as your opponent plays, you can enter your move with Return,
spending a fraction of a second ! This is where Blitz may sometimes look
like a poker game, if you are under pressure with time, your opponent
may play a bad move to bring you in a trap 8-)

Ctrl-C to change board or piece color under the cursor.
...and comments to disturb your opponent, etc ;-)

Connecting with a modem link:
I suggest you do a voice-call to your opponent (because he may not like
the modem carrier 8-), tell him you want to play Tea For Two Blitz, and
agree on who will call or answer. Then, you don't need to do another
phone call, just hold the line and connect (one guy selects Answer, the
other selects Call and does not enter any phone number).
Alternatively, if your opponent is aware of your call, you may directly
connect: give a phone number to let the program dial the number and
	connect.

Connecting through the Internet :
You need an account (usually unix) by your internet provider. Phone to
your provider and when the board is displayed, log in as if you had a
terminal (with a two lines display ;-). Then declare your terminal is a
dumb one, by setting the TERM variable to 'unknown' and 'talk' to your
opponent, who has done the same thing at the other side...
For now ;-) , you cannot connect to your internet provider if it only
	affords slip or ppp access.
