TV in the Panic Society The invention of the TV set in 1928 was heralded as a great invention. After 1946, it soon became a mainstay in all the homes of the civilized world. Programming was at first limited to a few network shows and some local programming. It was great educational entertainment. Soon, it became informative as a source for news, weather, and other useful information. All programming then was tightly controlled by the network censors. During the 60's violence became the mainstay of network TV. It all started with the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Two days later, it climaxed with the first live murder on network television. This is when, live in front of million of viewers, Jack Ruby shot Lee Harvy Oswald. During the Vietnam war, people were exposed to the nightly news. Because there was no censorship of this news, each network tried to outdo the other in their presentation of the horrors of war. There was plenty of blood and gore to see. It wasn't long before this daily dose of blood and gore got the public so sick of war that the anti war movement soon had a huge following. The riots that followed soon added to more graphic viewing of blood and gore. Then, along came cable TV. In addition, there was released the independent networks. Competition for viewers went crazy. The network censors were soon replaced by more liberal ones. The Cable and independents were often exempt from any censorship of programming. TV programming rapidly deteriorated. Sex and violence soon ran rampant on network TV. All programming made and edited for TV had to have the same steamy sex and violence added to make it appealing for the viewing public as defined by an origination called "The Nielsen Rating System." Kids cartoons rapidly deteriorated to extreme violence. Kids were exposed to high pressure cartoon advertising. Many cartoons were nothing more then 1/2 hour long advertising for toys of violence. Cartoon characters were constantly being smashed, blown up, shot at, and flattened by all kinds of heavy objects. However, such characters were never killed by those fatal activities. Kids that imitated those things, however, did get killed. Cable TV accelerated the process. Here you could watch unedited movies complete with profanity, extreme violence, kinky sex, blood, guts, etc. Cable TV had its own special problems. By its nature it is a monopoly. That is, you have only one choice. Cable, or network TV. Each year, the companies then jacked up the rates. You used to be able to use a satellite dish. But, soon the greedy cable companies scrambled all the channels. Even those that had no cable service available were soon stuck with a worthless satellite dish, Or were forced to pay twice the cable rates to rent a descrambler box. Soon, many cable and satellite users began to find ways to beat the scramblers. The cable companies retaliated by the use of an electronic zapper. This device was able to detect the illegal hookups and then fry out your expensive TV hookups. Of course, the customer could do nothing but face an expensive repair bill, or end up in court. I wonder just how many legal hookups were also zapped? Movies soon tried to outdo each other in the creative ways that people could be brutally killed. People in those films were beaten to a pulp with pipes, axes, chains, etc. They were blown apart, hacked to pieces with chainsaws, brains and guts were blasted all over the rooms with shotguns, machine guns, etc. They were even chewed up by every type of alien that could ever be invented. The VCR and Home Video Camera soon made anything available to TV viewers. Now, a TV viewer could watch anything that they want, when they wanted to. So could the kids when their parents were gone. And, of course, the use of the video cassette player resulted in the viewing of anything by anybody at anytime and anyplace. The video camera also allowed the consumer to record anything including bedroom behavior between couples or groups. Any kind of movie on tape was available. This included triple X rated films as well as horribly boring home movies of anything and everything. A whole slew of Friday the 13th. movies were made, then, all kinds of slasher films. Great white sharks chomped through people at will, then critters, giant rats, Huge cockroaches, giant ants, spiders, flying fish, etc. Then, along came Freddy Kruger. This character loved to slash up young girls with his razor fingernails. The sequels showed girls being killed by Freddy while they were actually seemed to be committing suicide. Isn't it interesting that teen girls suffer from a very high suicide rate. Sex was glorified like crazy. The daytime Soap Operas were great for doing this. Even X-rated fare found its way on the cable system where the kids could watch it at will. Advertising deteriorated to stuff such as, "The other deodorant," pills for before, during, and after, even ads pushing pregnancy detecting products. Some movies actually caused violence. Fights and pickets broke out outside theater in the spring of 89 during the showing of a religious film, "The Last Temptation." Gang movies soon became the new rage. Such movies were about Teen gangs, drugs and plenty of violence. Such movies soon resulted in those teen gangs acting them out for real. The premier showing of "Harlem Nights" in Southfield, Michigan, on November 18, 1989 resulted in mass violence and three actual shootings inside the theatre. 15 people were injured and one killed by gunfire and knifings during the premiere showing of "The Godfather 3" in three New York theatre on Christmas day, 1990. During the showing of "New Jack City," a movie about gangs, violence, and looting occurred in several cities when movie theater oversold tickets. Nearly all the violence was the results of gangs that were attracted to see this movie. The premier of "Boys in the Hood" on July 12, 1991, resulted in extreme violence in Chicago and other cities. One person was killed and 23 other teens were shot during the first night of this film. Many movie theater and communities reacted by having this film pulled. The educational TV stations avoided this trend. But, then someone discovered that animal documentaries were not complete unless they were showings animals performing sex act as part of their lives. Suddenly, every animal documentary started talking about sex. Educational TV was now unfit for children to watch. Finally, the Religion TV fell on bad times. As a result of the scandalous behavior of Jim Baker and Jimmy Swaggart, they lost a lot of their donation support and started going bankrupt. They constantly were begging for money and trying to shame everyone into giving them your life savings. M TV was a huge success among the youth of society. They were exposed to all kinds of satanic verses, sex, violence, and other disgusting video effects in sync with the pounding drums, weird sounds, and vocal abuse that screeched out of the mouths of those slimy dressed weirdos that were called "rock stars." The networks then invented tabloid TV. This was a last ditch effort to get people away from watching cable TV. Tabloid TV became a valuable tool for the formation of the Panic Society. A lot of people hit the panic button and helped to create the Panic Society as a result of watching Tabloid TV. It was simple, The subject matter on Tabloid TV created great panic when masses of people were now aware of all those horrible things that were happening out there. All kinds of subjects were covered in Tabloid TV. Sex was a common subject. This included abuse, cheating, premarital sex, hookers, gays, lesbians, etc. Also covered were molesting, beatings, drugs, race, religion, etc. There were massive cases of product fraud, hazards, and cover up. Many times, there were loud vocal debates on those programs. Violent criminals were even interviewed. (Charles Manson). A fight even broke out on the Geraldo show where the host got a chair slammed into his face after he tried interviewing a white racist and a black bigot. Still, Network TV was the worst of all. A 5 year old boy raped his sister after watching such a similar rape on TV. A group of boys poured gasoline on a homeless guy and set fire to him after viewing a similar scene on TV. Several "Burning Bed" murders took place after people watched a movie titled "Burning Bed." Clothing trends, and behavior trends were being caused by the TV. Soap operas were showing all kinds of vice and sex scandals which was soon imitated by viewers. Sex and violence were being promoted as a result of its constant viewing on TV. "TV is a major factor in over 10,000 murders each year," according to a study by Randon Willcox, a noted Psychologist. Dr. William Deate. "TV violence is an contributing factor to the violence in society today." (Crossfire, CNN, February 13, 1990) "We have the most violence TV programming of all the nations of this earth." Quote by Liberal Democrat, Paul Simon. "Too Much TV can make children fat and more violent" the American Academy of Pediatric says. TV commercials are a big problem as well. One 3 year old boy suffered from constipation and soiling his pants as a result of one of those ads. "The toiled turned into a green smoking monster on the TV" the kid finally admitted to his mother a year later after many test and hospital bills. Your Glorious Leaders screamed like crazy after they heard the facts from all of those studies and after watching Crossfire on CNN. Your Glorious Leaders continued to blame all of this on the Reagan Administration and deregulations. A comment from a "Liberal," "Seven hours of sex and violence every day on TV won't hurt kids. However, one minute of prayer in the public school cannot be tolerated." (Crossfire) The latest trend for the 1990 season is a series of new soap operas aimed at teens. There will be all kinds of sex, drugs, violence, and other problems glorified. Even worse, there is now a Gay soap opera. 3/4 of the cast for this soap opera are Gay. TV morals continue to sink to new lows. There was a great debate over Secret Passions, the Gay soap opera. The March 13 Larry King show held a debate that got quite loud. Liberal professor, Bill Donnahue condemned the show as anti religious, immoral, and that it would promote promiscuity. There will probably be a rash of TV stations that will refuse to carry this show. Interestingly enough, there are TV stations that will not carry the classics Amos and Andy because Your Glorious Leaders consider this show as "Racist." One of the first things that was done, when the Panic Society took over was to clean up the TV programming. If left unchecked, network programming could deteriorate to the point where programs such as the movie "The Running Man" would actually take place. The first step was to eliminate all network and cable programming. All stations were then replaced with one station that feature sensible, politically correct, educational programs. All such programs is screened and all references to sex, violence, religion, race, creed eliminated. All music and language is screened and cleaned up. Programming is limited to the hours of 7 am to 8 pm. This is to assure that the children cannot stay up to all hours of the night watching TV when they are supposed to be in bed at a decent hour. To eliminate the problem of time shifting and the watching of "unfit" programming, the video cassette player and the video camera are eliminated for your own good and well being. Is this all possible? Yes, TV programming is controlled in Communist countries. There is no problem with channel flipping as there is only one TV network. In fact, most of those Tvs don't even have a channel selector. This network is owned by the Government. All programming has to be approved for viewing by Government censors. Ownership of video cameras and video tape players is forbidden. Amateur radio is also forbidden. Watch the movie Fahrenheit 451 for the classic example of this.
