Drugs and the Panic Society Over 200 years ago, There were tremendous social problems occurring in Europe and the United States. Group of people went waco for no apparent reasons. In France, waves of panic swept the farmers and poor of the villages. There was widespread looting and burning in the countryside. The evil French government was forced to call in the military and take total control of the population. In the US, in Salem, Mass. panic stricken groups of people tied other people to stakes and burned them alive. Those crazys believed that the people that they were burning were witches. Evil 20th Century scientist though they discovered what was the problem. Those people had been eating bread and other foods made with rye that had been infected with a food poisoning fungus called ergot. This substance produced a chemical whose effects were similar to LSD. The 20th century faced tremendous problems with drugs. Drugs could have bad side effects, they could be toxic. People were dying from taking too many drugs or combinations of drugs. Birth defects were being caused from drug use. Drugs were being pushed by massive advertising campaigns on the media. Drugs were being tampered with when some nut would spike them with some toxic substance. (The Tynol poisoning of 87). And drugs were being deliberately abused by teens and adults in 20th century society. People were being murdered over drug abuse as gangs fought for controls of neighborhoods. Drug addicts robbed, raped and murdered for the money that they needed to get for the purchase of drugs. One mother in Detroit used her 13 yr old daughter as payment to a drug supplier. The guy raped the 13 year old. Crack and heron became the drugs of choice among the youth and poor of this society. Pushers earned as much as $1000 a day supplying the drugs. They bought gold, fancy clothes, and expensive cars with their money. Sometimes, they would get at odds with the territory that they sold drugs in. Then, one of them would turn up dead. Powerful drug lords soon took control as they became filthy rich in the quest to raise and supply drugs. They even took control of nations by killing off those that tried to stop them. In August, 1989, the country of Columbia attempted to put an end to the drug trade. The drug lords declared war on the country. Thousands were arrested. All civil rights were suspended as the army took over. thousands died as the drug lords fought back with murders and bombings. Still, alcohol was the drug of choice. It was a favorite among teens, Blacks and Indians, as well as the rest of the population. Each group had its favorite brand. The Indians had a craving for whiskey. As much as 60% of them had no control over their consumption of whiskey. Blacks seem to prefer the malt liquors and Thunderbird wines. Among the Whites, the cocktails were favorites. Germans loved their beers, The Russians the Vodka. Teens, it seemed would drink anything just as long as it contained alcohol. The problem was in the alcohol addiction. Such people would drink to excess. They would become drunk. It is when they were drunk that the problems started. Often those people would get into fights for no reasons. Many people got killed and injured in those fights. Drunks would try to drive a car, often with fatal results. Some people even drank themselves to death. In many cases, like the drug habits, they would spend all of their money on alcoholic drinks. Cigarettes were also a problem. While they didn't appear to cause a user to be impaired from the nicotine addiction, the smoke contained toxic chemicals that was health threatening. Thousands of smokers were dying horrible deaths each year as a result of the cancer, strokes, heart attacks, and lung disease that they contracted. Your Hero, Joslyn Elders, soon got rid of those awful cigarettes. Prescription and over the counter medicines were also badly abused. There were doctor arrested for prescribing excessive amounts of certain addictive medications to patients. Steroids were commonly abused by sports people in their quest for strength. This drug also caused kidney damage. It often left the user impotent which led to emotional problems. To add to the problem was the huge advertising campaign that many drug companies were pushing on the public. People were constantly being bombarded with ads that said that this pain killer was better then their competitors. There are constantly ads for headache remedy, sinus medicine, stop toothache, eliminate bloating, cramps, sleeping pills, pep pills, tranquilizers, weight loss, weight gain, vitamins, even for the morning after. The Hillery Health care Plan soon put a stop to that. The cup of coffee contained caffeine, so did the soda pop, the tea, and many medications. Processed foods contained all kinds of drugs. Even the animals that were murdered for food production were full of all kinds of drugs such as steroids. Your Glorious Leaders started screaming about all those problems. Something had to be done about it and now. Their first target turned out to be Marijuana. Marijuana was a favorite drug. It was used much like cigarettes. It could be easily grown almost anywhere. The first target was to destroy the crop and arrest the property owners. Most of the marijuana is imported. A zero tolerance seizure policy was adopted. The Coast Guard began searching every sailing vessel that they could find. They found the pot and plenty of it. They seized one fishing trawler that had 100 tons on board and took the vessel from the owner. On a large private vessel, they found a marijuana cigarette in a crew members quarters. They also took that ship from its owner. The law enforcement authorities soon took to the sky. With the aid of helicopters, aircraft, and satellites, they photographed every inch of the Earth's surface. They found a lot of pot. They found it growing in plantations. It was found between rows of field corn. It was found hidden in the National Forest. It was even found in flower beds in back yards. All property owners were promptly arrested. Marijuana was soon grown indoors. This was due to the results of a huge drug enforcement policy that was trying to destroy this drug. Suddenly, it was no longer safe to be a supplier of garden supplies. Store were being closed and store owners were now having to prove that they weren't selling supplies to pot farmers. "The owners of those stores were being considered Guilty until proven innocent." October 25, 1989, TV 50 News. 10:08 PM. Cocaine was next. The Government of Columbia soon declared war on itself in an effort to stop the trade in cocaine. Drug lords have killed hundreds of judges in the past few years. Bombings and mass murders are now commonplace there. Authorities in the US in 1989 have seized tons of cocaine. Some bust such as one in Las Angles amounted to 22 tons in one location. However, this was only a small percent compared to the amount that ended up used by addicts. The newest drugs of choice soon were showing up out West and in Hawaii. They were synthetic drugs easily made with the street names of "Crank" and the most deadly stuff ever made called "Ice". Ice would give a high that lasted from 8 to 12 hours vs the 20 of 30 minutes that an addict got from Crack. However, the withdrawals from Ice were pure hell. Ice addicts became very violent. Hawaiian police were discovering a lot of assaults and murders taking place as a result of the addicts. The hospitals were receiving a lot of addicts with severe kidney and liver damage in addition to the injuries that were resulting from the violence. And babies that were born to addicts suffered some of the most expensive, severe medical, and psychological problem that couldn't be imagined. In the spring of 1990 a drug called RU-486 was produced in Europe. This drug became known as the abortion pill. Pregnant women that took the prescribed dose would abort their fetus. The evil Religious Right soon screamed about the evils of RU- 486. They called for and got a ban on its use in the US. All other addictive when abused drugs are now being put on the forbidden list. Many such drugs are very useful when used to control disease or pain. However, daily, such drugs are being taken away from the Doctors and researchers of this country as a result of the Panic caused by Your Glorious Leaders "If the drug could cause cancer in rats in any amount, then it has to be banned. If the drug could cause an abortion in any amount, then it cannot be banned. If this drug could become addictive, then, it has to be banned." says Your Glorious Leaders. Due to all the hazards from overdose, toxic side effects, addictions, abuse, murders, loss of income, stealing, fighting, broken homes, abuse, lawsuits, etc. there will be no drug use in the panic society. They will not be manufactured or available for any reason. This includes any medical reasons. Anyone that attempts to manufacture and, or use drugs, will promptly be arrested by a robocop. (Exception, a drug that stops the urge to play with it.) The Panic Society will never have to face the problems of drug side effects, lawsuits, birth defects, gang wars, murders etc. that has plagued people in the 20th century. The 20th century may solve its drug abuse problem by one of the following methods 1. destroy the supplies, arrest the suppliers This involves a massive police and armed force that will need to be employed worldwide. Their job will be to destroy all drugs and arrest all those involved in the production and distribution of those drugs. Cigarettes and alcohol will also need to be included. A massive prison system will need to be built in order to handle all the new prisoners that will flood the system. It will be the biggest growth industry in the nation. Presently, this is happening in Michigan. Taxes will rise to at least 50 to 80% of all income in order to pay for this massive effort. The Government of Columbia is trying to take this step. It has resulted in civil war with thousands of arrest and many violent deaths. Even the supreme court was machine gunned to death while it was in session by drug assassins. 2. Seal our borders. This involves walling ourselves in by sealing off our borders to all travel, imports, and export. Armed guards will need to be stationed along all borders and seashores. They will need to stand shoulder to shoulder so that nothing can slip by. Aircraft cannot be allowed to cross the border. Ships cannot land on our shores. Such craft will be assumed to be carrying drugs and will be dealt with accordingly. There can be no travel in our country unless there is prior approval. All travelers will be subject to drug searches. There will be strict controls on any chemicals that could be used to manufacture LSD, Crank, Ice, and other controlled drugs. There will be random drug searches of all property in order to ferret out underground drug factories. This method already exist to a great extent in the foreign country known as Russia. However, even Russia still has a drug problem. Drugs can't even be kept out of the prisons. 3. Legalize all drugs. By legalizing drugs, they can now be controlled by the Alcohol and Tobacco department and subject to the same restrictions as cigarettes and alcohol. Look at all the problems created when alcohol use was banned in the 20s. A lot of people died from bad "Bathtub Gin". All the problems with mobsters and alcohol disappeared when it was made legal again. Legalized drugs would renders the illegal sale and transportation of drugs unprofitable. Those people out to make that easy money will no longer be able to do so. There will no longer be any drug related killing or gang wars. Countries like Columbia could now regain control of their governments. The drug lords would no longer control the governments of those countries. More money would get into the hands of the poor local farmers that tend the coca, poppy, and marijuana fields. No longer would huge sums of money have to be spent, or lives lost, in the token efforts that are now being made in trying to destroy those drug sources. Drugs will now be of a uniform quality and purity. This would make them safer to the user. I V drug use would be free of AIDS as such drugs can now be made available packaged much like Insulin is. Drugs would also be available at a much lower price. Gone is the huge gangland markup. There will be a lot less theft and robberies as the user will no longer need to steal the huge amounts of cash needed to support their addiction. Such drugs would open up a huge industry the way that alcohol and tobacco has. A lot of new jobs would also be created thus reducing the unemployment rate. This industry would then contribute tax money into the economy and thus have a big impact in reducing the deficit. The need to build new prisons and finance large police forces will be reduced as the crime rate will drop accordingly. The drug products will be taxed. This money can then be used to educate the youth on the dangers of using drugs. It will also pay for the rehabilitation centers that are needed to treat addicts, regardless of what method is used to control drugs. This will save a lot of tax money. The rehabilitation centers, funded by those taxes, will help addicts that want to kick their drug habit. There will be care centers to house those that fry their brains out and thus need to be kept in institutions. There will also be a temporary increase in the undertaker business as users are allowed to, "Burn out and destroy their bodies." The use of drugs will gradually die off as the addicts either kick the habit, or are destroyed by the drugs that they are addicted to. This will get rid of a huge chunk of the undesirable people of this society since the majority of such undesirable people tend to be drug users. The drug industry will then gradually disappear as the demand for their products decreases. A program similar to this is underway in the country of Holland. It appears to be working. The only way to eliminate the drug problem is to eliminate the demand for the stuff in the first place. So far, enforcement, education, and rehabilitation are NOT working. Liberals will never allow for legalization as the Clinton admistration has even tried to make cigarettes illegal. On the Positive Side. There will be no problems with drug abuse, toxic side effects, cancer, or abortion as a result of drugs. On the Negative Side. There will be many deaths and severe suffering of people as a result of them being denied drugs that could have been life saving. Is this all possible? Its starting to happen. The panic over RU-486 has resulted in its ban. Attacks on other drugs are also under way. Lawsuits over side effects and allergic reactions in some people have killed the use of other useful drugs. Liberal democrats want to put orphan drug companies out of business by eliminating their patents and monopoly of production of such drugs. (An orphan drug is a product that is badly needed by a few people for their survival). Joslyn Elders of the Clinton Administration wants a ban on cigarettes. Hillery wants total control of health care and would make it available only on a "cost effective basis". "If you are old, or get some rare illness, you are out of luck. it is not cost effective to pay for your care,"
