These can include the great adventures relesed in the past by Infocom (eg. Zork & Planetfall) and the equally great adventures relesed by independent authors using the Inform programming language. The BBS allows saving of games so you can play a little each night without loseing your place, this is very usefull as some of the bigger games can take days or weeks to complete! To go to the Inform Menu, just type caINFORMce at nearly any prompt. You can also go directly to a game, bypasing the menus by typing caINFORM ce where is the quick name for that game. On subsequent visits only show the name of the Location. (All adventures default to this) SUPERBRIEF - Displays only the -name- of a place you visit even if its your first time there of course you can always get a full description with the LOOK or L command. VERBOSE - Gives a complete description of the area EVERYTIME you enter it. DIAGNOSE - This will give you a report of your physical condition. INVENTORY - Displays a list of everything you are wearing and carry. This command can be abbreviated to I. LOOK - Gives a full description of location. Abreviation to L. QUIT - This lets you stop playing. (See SAVE) SAVE - Allows you to 'snapshot' your current position and status in a game. RESTORE - This restores a previously saved game. RESTART - This stops a story and starts it over from the beginning. SCORE - Shows current score and ranking TIME - Gives you the current time in the story (some games) WAIT - Causes time in the story to pass --------------- MOVING AROUND ------------------- All directions can be abbreviated as follows: NORTH - N EAST - E SOUTH - S WEST - W UP - U DOWN - D NorthWest - NW NorthEast - NE etc and so on. Also there are three basic questions you can ask.. WHO IS, WHERE IS, WHAT IS. EAT IT ---------- FINALLY WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS ------------- When all else fails and you get hopelessly STUCK in a game and can't solve a puzzle etc you can always ask your SYSOP for a few hints or tips or possibly the solution if your really hopeless!
