PlayMOD © 1995 by David C. May. All Rights Reserved. --------------------------------------------------------- PlayMOD plays a ST/NT/PT MOD using the PTReplay.library by Mattias Karlsson. For this reason, you must move the PTREPLAY.LIBRARY file to LIBS: before attempting to run PlayMOD. Once it is started, a window opens with five gadgets to control the playback of the MOD: Restart |< Stops a MOD and returns its play position to the beginning. Allows other PlayMOD and modplayers to use the audio channels. Pause [] Stops a MOD at its current position. Play -> Begins playing a MOD or continues play of a MOD from its current position. Rewind << Moves play position back one pattern. Fast Forward >> Moves play position forward one pattern. Close the window to exit. When run as a Workbench tool, PlayMOD will play one selected project icon. This can be done by clicking the PlayMOD icon, holding shift, and double-clicking on a MOD's project icon. You can also set the default tool of the MOD's project icon to PlayMOD's pathname, then double-clicking on the icon. If you double-click only on the PlayMOD icon, an ASL file requester will appear, prompting you for a MOD's pathname. To run PlayMOD from the Shell, type: PlayMOD [FULLPLAY] [SCREEN PubScreenName] to play the desired MOD. If FULLPLAY is specified, the MOD will be played through once and will not loop. Also, the PlayMOD window will open without any control gadgets. This is useful if you have a directory with several MODs, for which you may type: execute spat PlayMOD FULLPLAY and have each MOD that matches the pattern played. If the SCREEN keyword is used, the PlayMOD window will open on the public screen given. This program is free of charge, and the PTReplay.library is distributed free of charge.
