The AARUG was
set up in 1988 by Bob Wellbeloved G3LMH and a handful of Amiga enthusiasts.
Today there are about 400 members from around the world on the database. The group publishes an occasional newsletter, Amigan Airwaves and maintains an Amiga amateur radio software library. Members meet at computer shows and rallys and there is a regular 40M Sunday morning net.
Anyone with an interest in Amiga computing and radio communication is invited to join.
Membership is free although there is a small charge for use of the PD library. Donations are of course welcome (send to Bob Perks G0LBQ, address as PD library).

Once you have registered then you can obtain PD
programs from the AARUG
list.
A small charge is made for use of the PD library to offset the running costs (especially replacing worn-out floppy drives in Bob's Amiga!)
Don't hesitate to send in useful utilities or other programs that you have which might be of interest to other AARUG members but remember they MUST be PD or Shareware.

Method 1.
Send floppy disks with sufficient return postage and a list of the programs you need to Bob G0LBQ at the address above. The cost is GBP 0.50 per disk or 3 disks for GBP 1.00
Please restrict yourself to a maximum of SIX disks per package.
These don't have to be blank or formatted.
We suggest that you enclose your disks in a self-addressed Jiffy Bag or similar and enclose the Jiffy Bag in an envelope addressed as above. This will save Bob time and help them to provide a better service. Please ensure that you affix sufficient stamps and-or IRCs to cover the postage both ways.
Method 2.
Because some members (especially non-UK) may find it difficult to send
floppy disks AARUG PD can be obtained by purchasing disks from Bob. The
price is 2 US Dollars or 2 IRCs per disk which also covers return airmail.
Send money (not cheques) and a list of the programs you need to the address
above.

Amiga amateur radio files can be downloaded from AmigaBee BBS. Please note that this is a limited hours service during weekends and evenings UK local time (GMT + 1 hour). and

5328 (24 hours).
For FidoNet users the BBS address is 2:254/214 Freq FILES for the latest list.

To get on discussions that occur on the AARUG listserver, you may subscribe to the computer that sends out the e-mail by doing the following actions.
First of all, I will remind you that there are two (2) e-mail addresses involved. Please keep these straight and know what each one does. To subscribe to the list or unsubscribe later, you will need to communicate directly to the computer that controls the e-mail distribution. The address of this computer is:
listserv@amigabee.org.uk
You send your e-mail to the list server computer address above with the subject line blank. In the body of your message you type only the following (you are writing to a computer, not a human). So no lengthy request is necessary:
Subscribe AARUG-L Firstname Secondname (callsign if you like)
Within a few hours, you will receive a confirmation request from the computer.
Next, Once you are on the list and receiving AARUG related e-mails, you may post a question/comments to ALL other people on the list by using the following address:
aarug-L@amigabee.org.uk
Should you require assistance leave a comment to sysop or e-mail sysop@amigabee.org.uk

3 CD-32s, one with MPEG module.
