        *                  THE OFFICIAL MED USERS GROUP                 *

        Welcome to the world of the Official MED Users Group (MUG).

        The group was formed in Jan 1993 with the aim to  provide a  much
        needed service to all users of MED/OctaMED.

        The group produces a  disk-magazine entitled `TOTAL IRRELEVANCE!'
        six times  a  year.  This  contains  Modules,  Samples, Features,
        Letters, Problems, and its main feature MODSPOT.

        MODSPOT is where member's can send  in their tunes for a complete
        and un-biased review. Each  song  is  given  a  mark and `ModSpot
        HotShots!' are given to tunes of very high quality. There is also
        the opportunity for MED users to gain a larger audience for their
        creations as all songs we receive (unless stated otherwise by the
        author)  are  available  to   other   club  members.  Disks  with
        `HotShots!' on them are also available.

        Being the OFFICIAL MED USERS GROUP,  with the backing of both Ray
        Burt-Frost and Teijo Kinnunen, MUG  is  always first with news of
        the   best   Amiga   music  programme.   We  also  cover  related
        programmes such as AMFC.

        The  "MUG COLLECTION"  is a number  of   disks which the club has
        chosen to adopt. These  include  the  amazing  "Friends Of Paula"
        series which push the capabilites of MED to the limits! Each disk
        is full with quality modules and every one a classic.

        The group also produces sample disks.  They take WEEKS to compile
        and are  always  99%  full  of  quality  sounds.  The  disks  are
        optimised for fast loading times and  are available as PD. As far
        as we know, no  sample  features  more  than  once  on any of the
        available disks.

        The group  runs  on  a  non-profit  basis.  It  doesn't  charge a
        membership fee because you  do  not  have  to  become a member to
        enjoy the  benefits  of  MUG.  All  releases  are  available from
        various OctaMED distributors and  the group  can  be contacted at 
        the  address  below.  You  can  send in  your  problems, mods for 
        review, letters,  or submissions for the disk-magazine, anything!

        We  hope  you  decide  to   try   out  future  copies  of  "TOTAL
        IRRELEVANCE!"  and  look  forward  to  hearing  from  you  in the
        future.
