These are articles that do not come under the other the headings of the SWAG area of this newsletter.
I've been having a look around the excellent SWAG newsletter pages at: http://www.wharne.u-net.com/swag/news/ and stumbled across the `What's Been Happening at SWAG` section of the site.
From the design I assume Andy wants to give us (the subscribers) and any people who are not subscribed to SWAG, the chance to see what's been happening on a month-by-month basis. Obviously this is an excellent idea as people can see what they've missed in the previous months and are able to catch up on any gossip, but more importantly, for new subscribers it makes it look like SWAG is a pro-active mailing list (which it is!).
At the moment, there are only entries for October and December 1998 and the snippets for each month are really short (not Andy's fault as he's had to do all the website and list work himself!). This doesn't look too impressive for the casual web surfer who's thinking of joining up, but it's also not true as SWAG is a bustling little corner of the internet!
You've got to make as much news/gossip from what goes on as you can. I'm willing to knock something together once a month for SWAG, but I'd like some feedback on the format I've chosen. If you like it or hate it, please let me know.
Many thanks,
