As you will have noticed by now, the newsletter has been completely re-designed. This is because the old version was very plain and wasn't very inspiring. As it is, SWAG currently has nothing to offer Amiga owners that are not on the internet apart from the monthly meetings - which isn't much help if you live too far away to get to them.
So, the issue of a newsletter is an important one. After all, apart from Amiga Format, how else are Amigans that are not on the internet going to know what is going on or that there still is an Amiga scene???
Apart from CU-Amiga closing and the announcement from AInc. about QNX, not much has happened over the last few months. Hopefully, there will be more news in the Amiga News section by the time you read this.
After a clear-out of messages in Thor, I realised that the first real "mail shot" for the South west Amiga Group was sent back on the 24th January 1998, so seeing as the actual birth date for SWAG is a bit vague, I think it would be a good idea to make this SWAG's "official" Birthday. I know this is not exactly the best time of year, but what do you guys think to some sort of party? Let me know...
