  • Geoff has been using the Amiga for many years, from the A500 up to his present set up. His main use is for video editing, which he does as a sideline to his main job, running JR's Fish Bar on Leeds Road, Huddersfield. Apart from games Geoff will dabble in anything to do with the Amiga. Want to know about midi?...Geoff's the man to ask. Sound sampling, 3D design, DTP and general graphics, he'ill have a go at them all.

  • Malcolm's main area is in CAD (his job). He also uses Wordworth and Pagestream. Along with number crunching in TurboCalc, Malcolm likes to create in Real 3D. Now heres one that may shock you a bit. Are you ready for this? Malcolm and his wife can also use the Amiga to Knit. Yes thats right knit. They do this using the software Cochineal Machine Knitting design - Bitknitter, Jacquard, Garment Styler. Personally i haven't seen it in action, but you never know we just might be able to get him to gives us a demo. What about it eh Malcolm?

  • Kevin could be HAUG'S answer to Stephen King cos he likes to use his Amiga for writing. He also uses his Amiga to keep his bank account in order, and also the clubs financial affairs since taking over from Tony as clubs treasurer. Kevin can also be found at all club meetings with his machine, because he just loves playing with the Amiga.

  • My main interest is Cinema 4d. Some of the graphics on these pages were done in Cinema. Apart from this i'll play with anything really except programming cos i'm still coming to terms with Engish!

  • Are you all ready for this ? A1200T (his was the first Eyetech EZ tower). Phase 5/603+/200/400/BiVision. 48mb of ram. A 1.1 gig hard drive and two cd's, both connected using Eyetechs buffered interface. An IDE Zip and two floppy drives. Externally on a scsi chain Jaz drive, Zip and a Mustek Scanner. Epson photo printer for colour only, and a Projet 2c printer for B&White only controlled by a two way switcher. A 17" Panavision Flatscreen at 85KHZ-connected to the bivision outlet, and a 15"Microvitec Multiscan-connected to the Amigas video out. A 56k Supra modem and sound from a pair of Yamaha speakers. His second machine is an A1200 with a Phase 5 1230/IV and scsi. This machine has 16mb of ram and a 170 mb hard drive. Ian uses the scsi zip on this machine. Both machines are linked through parnet, to which he'd like to give thanks to Geoff, and is used mainly as a stand by in case the "beast" goes down. "Rarely" says Ian.

  • Since retiring with an Industrial injury his mig has become his hobby. His tastes are various and consist of:- wordprocessing using Wordworth 7. Graphics using, DrawStudio, ImageStudio, ADPro, Cinema4D, PageStream 3 and PPaint 7.1 The Internet. Ian plays only a few games including Settlers and RailRoad Tycoon (spoiled since he laerned how to cheat with unlimited money :-(.)

  • A1200T with 2 hard drives. A 80mb 2.5" and a 170mb 3.5". 36x ide CDRom and 10mb of ram. Paul has just upgraded to an Apollo 040@33mzh and loves the extra speed. Display is through a vga monitor and sound through 25 watt speakers. Paul also has the ide express. Any printing is done through a Cannon BJC 250 printer. His second machine is a 1mb A600 linked to a tv.

  • Paul likes PCB designing and other cad programs. Paul is developing a yearning for other serious software. When not trying to design on his Amiga, Paul likes to upgrade at EVERY possible moment. Due to cash flow problems this isn't always possible >:-((

  • eerrmmm...not too sure if I should say this but Paul put once put viruses on all 68 PC's at his school, saying "serves em right for turning the motherboard virus checkers off". On a more pleasing point Paul sold an A1200 to a PC lover and got his IT teacher to buy an A4000 from Power Computing. Also towering up his Amiga and having an article printed in Amiga Format 117.

  • If you thought Ian had alot of stuff...Machine N01..A1200T in an Ateo tower. A Blizzard 1260 with 48mb. Blizzard 1230 scsi kit. Graphics comes via an Ateo pixel64 gfx card. An Ateo I/O extender. CD is a 24x NEC scsi. Dave has 2x IDE drives and 2x scsi. A power HDD drive. Print outs come from an Epson Stylus photo printer. He sees all this through a Dell 17" monitor. Scanner is a Black Widow scsi and he also has an Iomega zip drive. Machine N02..A1200T in a Power Tower. Falcon 1240 + fpu. An Eyetech 4 way buffered interface. Adaptec 4x ide cd-rom with 2x ide hd and 2x scsi. Hypercomm3 interface and a classic Squirrel. Eyetech scandoubler attached to a 15" monitor. This machine comes with 16mb of ram. Machine N03..Vanilla CD32. Machine N04..Vanilla 1200. Machine N05..A500 with external scsi hard drive and rom switcher (1.3>2.04>.

  • Daves interest are purely technical (He's very clever our Dave) and include Comms:see claim to fame, Mail Networks, HTML, Javascript, Arexx (brilliant) and graphic manipulation.

  • Dave runs Frost Free BBS whose telephone number was included with every Escom 1200 sold. He's also the mid Yorkshire Fidonet Hub and 239 (Europe) Amiganet host. On a less serious side he "borrowed" a copy of PhotoGenics from its author Paul Nolan at WOA 97 and was then beaten up in Hammersmith. He not only met Princess Di, but was a security escort in 96 and was told to F### OFF by Ron Atkinson in the mid eighties.

HP 420c printer and a Meglosound 8bit sampler. 32x Atapi CDRom and a LS120 Atapi superdisk drive. Laurie and Craig have just purchased a 4.3 gig hard drive and a 56k modem. They also have teletext!!

  • Laurie and Craig use their Amiga for Banking and Wordprocessing. They also like to dabble with HTML and playing games.

  • Laurie's claim to fame is towering up the mig entirley from scratch including making some of the components himself. Craig's claim to fame is running the beginners corner at H.A.U.G.

  • A1200 with a Blizzard 030 and 8mb of ram. Barry has a 360mb hard drive. Externally he has a 2nd floppy and a CD-Rom. A rendale genlock. Barry uses an Epson Stylus 600 colour printer and uses a M1438s multisync monitor.

  • Barry uses his mig for video titling mainly. He likes to dabble in word processing, for which he uses WordWorth 7. Barry also likes to play with sound having recently purchased SoundProbe2.

  • Barry is one of our most enthusiastic members and you can gurantee that after a demo, if he likes what he sees he will get hold of the software and have ago. Hopefully Barry will also supply me with some sound for our site. Keep your ears tuned in folks.

  • Paul has a rare talent..He makes minitures. Furniture for dolls houses on a scale of 1:12 (I've got 3 daughters Paul..hint hint). Paul also has a love of Architecture and history, World War II in particular. Oh, he likes his mig as well :-)

  • John & Viv are certainly your outdoor sort of people. They enjoy Shooting, Motorsports and walking. When not doing that, they like to relax watching the ole goggle box and playing with the mig. Of particular interest to myself is their interest in Photography (did Imention I had a City & Guilds in it?).
