 @{b}=============@{ub}

 This is the english documentation. (Version 1.2)

 DC210Wizard is a small tool for the Kodak DC210. It provides basic download
 functionality to get the pictures out of your camera.

 The Kodak DC210 is a digital compact camera that takes pictures in
 "megapixel" resolution (1152x864 in 24 bit true color) or in VGA resolution
 (640x480 in 24 bit true color). The pictures will be saved as JPG or FPX
 files on a compact flash card. (There's a PCMCIA adaptor for the flashcards,
 but AmigaOS 3.1 fails to read the card) Fortunately, the pictures can be
 downloaded by the Amiga using a serial connection.

  @{b}Requirements:@{ub}
 @{b}===============@{ub}

   · An Amiga with Kickstart 2.0 (V37) or better
   · gtlayout.library V32 or better (included in the archive)
   · A 9pin/25pin serial port adapter (to connect the serial cable that is
     included in the DC210 package to the Amiga serial port)
   · A digital camera, compatible to the Kodak DC210

  @{b}Compatibility:@{ub}
 @{b}================@{ub}

 DC210Wizard was designed to connect to the Kodak DC210 only. But it also
 works with compatible cameras. Here are the actual testing results:

 · @{b}DC210@{ub}: This is the reference camera. There are no known problems.
 · @{b}DC210+@{ub}: Identical hardware. There are no known problems.
 · @{b}DC200@{ub}: It's compatible with the DC210. There are no known problems.
 · @{b}DC200+@{ub}: There are @{i}no @{ui}testings results about it, yet.
   (Should be compatible, because it should be identical to the DC200)
 · @{b}DC240@{ub}: There are @{i}no @{ui}testings results about it, yet.
   (It could be compatible to the DC210, because the DC200, DC210 and DC240
   share the same new Windows drivers. But do not count on this!)

 · @{b}DC220@{ub}, @{b}DC260@{ub}, @{b}DC120@{ub}: These cameras are @{i}not @{ui}compatible with the DC210!

 If you want to have up to date testing results, take a look at the WWW
 support page (see below).

 @{b}========@{ub}

 Connect your camera to the Amiga and start DC210Wizard by double clicking
 the program icon. DC210Wizard tries to establish the connection with the
 camera. When the connection is ready it tries to display the directory
 information of the inserted flashcard.

 You can configure the serial port with the @{b}DEVICE@{ub} tooltype.
 Default: DEVICE=serial.device/0/38400

 The DC210 supports 9600 bps, 19200 bps, 38400 bps, 57600 bps and 115200 bps.
 The internal Amiga serial port may not work with all values. (Tryout which
 value works best) Because of lacking hardware handshaking with the camera,
 it could be possible that other tasks are interfering the transfer between
 the Amiga and the camera. In this case, use another serial port with bigger
 buffers or do not start other tasks while transfering pictures.

 Press the @{b}Mark@{ub} button to (un)mark the actually highlighted picture in
 the listview gadget, press @{b}Swap@{ub} to (un)mark all entries and press @{b}Copy@{ub}
 to download the marked pictures.

 You can press @{b}Stop@{ub} to abort downloading. The retrieved files can be
 found in the @{i}Downloads@{ui} drawer. Use your favourite JPEG viewer (e.g.
 Visage or FJPeg) to display the images on your Amiga

 You can configure the download directory with the @{b}DRAWER@{ub} tooltype.
 Default: DRAWER=PROGDIR:downloads

 You can configure the delay after downloading a pictures from the camera with
 the @{b}SLEEPY@{ub} tooltype. (SLEEPY=20 means one second delay) Increase this
 value if DC210Wizard aborts multiple downloads after one file.
 Default: SLEEPY=10

 Do not forget to restart DC210Wizard if your camera looses power or if you
 have changed the flashcard!

  @{b}Future plans:@{ub}
 @{b}===============@{ub}

 · Remote control the camera through the serial connection
 · Display realtime-picture previews
 · Possibility to read flashcards with the PCMCIA adapter
   (Please help, I need a file for the DEVS:dosdrivers)

 If you have more suggestions, let me know!
