Amiga Inc have opened a new OS 3.5 section for their site, ready for the release of the software in the summer. It currently includes a list of the features the software will supply, preview screenshots of how it will look, a list of system requirements to use the new OS and the latest news relating to it. When OS 3.5 becomes available it will also provide user support information as well as developer support and a download section.

The clickBOOM Amiga Portal

ClickBOOM have decided to venture out of the gaming market and onto the web in their new project The Portal. This is a dynamic online database, which aims to bring all online Amiga resources to one place, so that you can visit just one site instead of dozens, and still be kept up to date on all the latest news.

How is this done? Well all the major Amiga news sites (including Amithyst) have their own area on the server to keep up to date with the latest news on their sites. So when they update their sites they update their section on The Portal as well.

And how do you get this information? When you register a clickBOOM game you get a BOOM#, which you use to get an account on The Portal with your name and a password. Then you will have access to the five areas of The Portal: Auctions, News Center, Communication Center, Status Information and Preferences. The News Center lists all the updates to other sites, so you can know when they have been updated.

Don't worry if you haven't bought any clickBOOM games because you can still use auctions on their site, to buy and sell Amiga things, even if you don't have a BOOM#.
