New Look At Phoenix
*

It has been a while since Amiga Flame first covered Phoenix but as it's due in November, it is time to take another look and for the first time actually see in-game graphics of this 3D space combat simulation.

Breathtaking graphics, congratulations to all those involved in the Phoenix art work
The idea is to travel around galaxies fighting pirates, solving missions and finally to discover your true mission. Phoenix was to have a trading feature but this has since been excluded, although it still has an action and strategic part.

These are the very first in-game screenshots to be seen by Amiga Gamers
The features in Phoenix include 256 colours throughout with a state of the art 3D engine and raytraced stills and animation's. The screenshots you can see throughout the web page emphasis the detailed and carefully crafted graphics.

The graphic to the left reveals the development phases of a character, from wireframe model over solid shaded model to the final character.
It'll contain many characters with more than 15 planets to visit. Another feature is TCP/IP support which I believe is still in the works, if so it will make this all the more impressive. It will also have orchestral soundtrack included.

Phoenix will require an 030 processor or better, 4MB Ram, Hard Disk, CD-Drive and will support Graphics cards.
