1.1 What is the OctaMED mailing
list?
-
OctaList is a mailing group for the OctaMED music
program which is currently available for the Amiga and will soon be released
for the PC.
1.2 What happens on Octa-List?
-
OctaMED problems/queries are answered.
-
The future development of OctaMED is considered and commented on.
-
OctaMED related AMINet uploads can be discussed/pointed out.
-
much, much, more...
1.3 How do I join Octa-List?
1.4 How do I get off Octa-List?
2.1 How do I send a message
to Octa-List?
-
Just compose your e-mail as normal and send it to: octa-list@tl36.teklab.com
-
Your message will then be sent to everyone who has subscribed to the
list. Any replies to your message will then either be sent back to the
list for everyone to read, or direct to your personal e-mail address.
2.2 Are there any restrictions
on messages sent to the list?
-
Yes, please do not send any attachment files to the list. If you would
like other people to hear a module you have written, either upload it to
Aminet and inform the list that you have done so, or tell people that if
they would like your module sent to them, they should contact you directly.
-
Also, please make sure your messages to the list are as short and to
the point as possible... don't copy the whole of an old message you are
replying to, just copy enough for people to realise what you are replying
to.
-
Also, please be kind and considerate at all times to other subscribers.
Many subscribers to the list are beginners to OctaMED and they should be
encouraged rather than flamed.
-
We are trying to promote a friendly and helpful atmosphere so please
adhere to the above.
3.1 Who runs Octa-List?
-
The list is run by Declan
Gorman with some help from the founder of MUG (the MED Users Group)
Richard Bannister . Either
would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about octa-list.
