When I press Connect, it doesn't connect.

This will almost certainly be because of some bad settings. The main thing to check is the setting for the DNS IP server. Also, ensure that you have run the Record Login option rather than attempting to login manually.

Does Termite TCP support SSL?

No. SSL support is more of a browser feature than a TCP feature. For example, iBrowse has SSL support built in.
