Free 30-day
trial account |
When you buy Net&Web you are eligible to receive a free 30-day
trial account with Demon Internet. This service is completely
free of charge, and at the end of the 30 days your trial account
will be automatically closed, after which you may choose to buy
a full account with Demon or with any other Internet Service Provider
supported by Net&Web. |
A choice of
five providers |
Net&Web supports five Internet Service Providers: Demon Internet,
CIX Internet, Applause Data, Internet FCI (The Net), and MersiNet.
Adding service providers to Net&Web is a simple task - if your
chosen provider is not listed, then ask them to email support@hisoft.co.uk
with their details. For more comprehensive built-in support, why
not take a look at what Net&Web2 has to offer? |
Award-winning
web browser |
Browsing the world wide web is no doubt what you will want to
do most with your Internet software, and both versions of Net&Web
come with the latest update of iBrowse, the Amiga's most popular
web browser by a long, long way! Our award-winning iBrowse software
supports more web features than any other Amiga web browser and
is under continuous development so that it keeps pace with modern
web pages.

|
| Top email package |
Electronic mail (email) is the fast and inexpensive way to send
messages around the world, and receive replies in minutes! Both
versions of Net&Web come with a sophisticated yet easy-to use
email system that will enable you not only to send and reply to
messages, but also to sort and store important old messages. The
email system is AmigaOS friendly and will allow you to send and
receive binary files (pictures, lha archives, etc.) as well as
plain text messages. YAM includes full MIME support, fully-featured
address books and a superb multi-window environment. Should you
prefer, you may of course use any other public domain or shareware
AmiTCP-compatible email client.

|
| Nifty newsreader |
Reading the latest news before anyone else is one of the greatest
benefits of an Internet account. Usenet is where all the news
is found. There are newsgroups for just about any topic you care
to imagine, all free to join, and the friendly usenet client that
comes with both versions of Net&Web will enable you to not only
read the latest news but also to join in the lively discussions
that characterise usenet newsgroups.

|
| Easy file transfer |
Living on the Internet are thousands upon thousands of Amiga related
files, all free and all just waiting for you to download them.
Pictures galore! MIDI files, sound samples, more tracker files
than you can shake a metronome at. Textures and models for 3D
artists abound. And, of course, so much software that you'd need
several lifetimes to run it all. And it's all absolutely free!
Both versions of Net&Web come with a simple-to-use ftp client
that will enable you to download anything that takes your fancy.
Use DaFTP to download files in the background while you carry
on browsing with iBrowse or sending email with YAM. Alternatively
you may use the excellent ftp facilities built into iBrowse, or
of course any other public domain or sharware AmiTCP-compatible
ftp client.

|
| Easy to reconfigure |
Should you wish to upgrade your serial port by fitting a Surf
Squirrel or Whippet interface, Net&Web requires just one configuration
change to make everything work with the new serial port. No need
to edit a single script, Net&Web does all the work for you. |

Works with
any provider |
Net&Web2 supports any Internet Service Provider that sells POP3
accounts, which is just about everybody. POP3 accounts are better
than the old-fashioned SLIP accounts because POP3 is self-configuring;
no setting-up is required, the software does it all for you. |
Professional
TCP/IP stack |
Net&Web2 comes with TermiteTCP, a topnotch TCP/IP stack that has
been designed to be both easy to configure and easy to use. Written
from the ground up for optimum performance, TermiteTCP has built-in
POP3 (PPP) and multiple connection support, plus it comes with
a comprehensive printed manual that takes the mystery out of the
Internet. |
| Extra email client |
Net&Web2 comes with a choice of two email clients: TermiteTCP's
custom email client, and the easy-to-use YAM. Or, should you prefer,
you may use any public domain or shareware AmiTCP-compatible email
client. |
| Extra ftp client |
Net&Web2 comes with the extra ftp client that is part of Termite
TCP. |
