Devpac 3 details
FEATURE DESCRIPTION
Editor The Devpac editor supports multi-file editing, the ability to open the same project in an unlimited number of windows in order to view several sections of code at the same time, full mouse control, bookmarks, clipboard cut-and-paste, pop-up options menus, exteremely fast search and replace, different font sizes and much more. A macro recording facility is available for teaching the editor and tedious or complex sequence of actions which can then be replayed with a single keystroke. Full control of assembler options and resident tools is provided via requesters, making it extremely simple to configure and customise the operation of the assembler. Assembler options can also be saved to disk for use from the command line interface.
Assembler The assembler supports all the 68000 to 68040 and 68332 processors, the 68881/2 maths coprocessor and the 68851 MMU. It can also produce S-records in addtion to Amiga executable and linkable code. To complement the production of S-records we supply and S-record splitter for use with EPROMs that are not the same width as the processor's bus. The assembler can generate and process pre-assembled include files, a feature which increases the speed of assembly of programs that use the operating system include files (which come with Devpac).
Debugger The front window display of the debugger can be organised as you wish. Windows can be split horizontally or vertically, or they can be stacked. Each stacked window may be locked to an arbitrary expression, allowing interactive monitoring of complex data structures. Any number of source files may be loaded into each window, along with any associated line number debugging information - multi-module programs can thus be single stepped.
