Are the files DesignWorks creates compatible with Wordworth and Final Writer?

DesignWorks can export pages in bog-standard Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) format. Depending on the content and complexity of the page you have exported, the "Post" software PostScript interpreter supplied with Wordworth and Final Writer (which is far from perfect) may or may not be able to import DesignWorks EPS files into those programs. Experiment with exporting your drawing as the "Entire Document" or just "Selected Objects" (don't forget to select them before exporting). Theoretically, you should stand a better chance exporting just the selected objects.

If your EPS files will not import into WW or FW, export them from DesignWorks as high resolution IFF pictures and import these instead. Provided your IFF is a high enough resolution (large enough pixel dimensions, in other words), your picture should print at an acceptable quality.

Are the files DesignWorks creates compatible with ProPage?

Unfortunately, in order to display and print EPS files to non-PostScript printers, ProPage requires them to be in a special type of EPS format that is compatible with Adobe Illustrator. Therefore, DesignWorks EPS files will load into ProPage only as greyed-out boxes and will print only on PostScript printers. The way to get a DesignWorks drawing into ProPage is to export it as DR2D, import the DR2D file into ProDraw (ProPage's sister program), save the drawing as a normal ProDraw "clip" file and import that into ProPage.

Are the files DesignWorks creates compatible with PageStream?

PageStream is able to import EPS files, display them and print them to non-PostScript printers, therefore DesignWorks EPS files should load into PageStream OK. However, EPS is a complex file format and if something on your page is too complex for the PageStream import filter, that file may fail to import. Experiment with exporting your drawing as the "Entire Document" or just "Selected Objects" (don't forget to select them before exporting). Theoretically, you should stand a better chance exporting just the selected objects. PageStream is also able to import DR2D format, so try that if EPS fails.
