                            CD-Finder is Freeware!

Thsi is an easy2use program, which means not many functions but usable ones.

Before you start assign a `BASE-CD:` to an empty directory.

Scannen:

Enter the name of the CD-Device (or your HD) in the DEVICE-gadget and press
SCAN to scan. You will be informed about the name of the device.
The files will be shown in the upper right string-gadget.

Set ENV/CD-Finder.dat to $00000000 to gain a few secs while scanning.

The upper progressgadget shows the functionprogress in percent and the lower
one counts all entries . A full gadget means 1000 files!
After scanning CD-Finder will crunch the names with a algo that can compress
the data up to 90%, but thats not normal. Take 30-50% as a normal value.
It depends much on the CD, I have had 10% crunching rate on one CD.

At the end some stats will be shown.

Edit:

Enter the CD with the defectiv files and select the one witch is defectiv to
delete it from the CD-Index-File.

Suche:

Enter the searchpattern at TEXT. CD-Finder will change your pattern like this:

            
                          ".gif" ------>  "#?.gif#?"

While hunting your file the upper progressgadget will show the percentage of
all CD`s and the lower will again count the entries  by 1000 a full gadget.

Please use KingKong-Shell to gain a `SAVE-output-Option` or use STDIO to a
file.
