****My game has got everything, it's got graphics, a sound effect and a
savable highscore table. I have personally sacrificed putting gameplay
in to make sure that you got the above things I hope you're happy!!!!****
****I am a Trekky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
unfortuantely because StarTrek TNG,DS9,and Voyager is on so much I have
not put as much effort into the actual game, although I assure you I
have the intelligence to acheive great things with YOUR money.******

   `StarTreker' By Andrew Brook
   ----------------------------

NOTE**** To save the highscore you have to use the quit button on the
options screen*******

If you have by chance got this game then it has either appeared on your
hard drive or you have got it off a CD. Either way it won't work ( I think)
To get it working you'll have to format two disks.Rename one of them:

                  "StarTreker"

Nmae the other one:

                  "StarTreker_D2"

The following files should be be copied onto the "StarTreker" disk:-

                  *StarTreker (The main Game File)
                  *Pics (Drawer)
                  **C (Drawer)
                  **S (Drawer)
                  **Libs (Drawer)
                  **L (Drawer)
                  **Devs (Drawer)
                  *Data (Drawer)
                  **T (Drawer)
                  *And this document

Onto the "StarTreker_D2" disk go the following files:-

                  *Bobs (Drawer)
                  *Samples (Drawer)
                  *Pics (Drawer)

NOTE : ** Means that the files aren't needed if you just want the games
to run from Workbench. If you want the game to boot from disk then you will
have to use Shell on your workbench disk to make "StarTreker" a bootable
disk(I think). If you have a HD (like me!) then go into shell and type the
following line:-

               Install Drive DF0:

But if you havn't got a Hard Drive then follow these steps (If you dare)

      * Insert Workbench Disk

      * go into shell and type:-

            Copy c:install ram:
            path ram;

      * Now insert "StarTreker" and type:-

            Install Drive Df0:

If that doesn't work.......sorrryyyyyy.

Now by looking at the game you would think that it should run on any machine
but as I've only got an unexpanded A1200 I can't say for sure how fats or
how bumpy it will be. It works fine on my machine so I presume the better
the machine the better the game.
If you have already played the game then you probably have realised that
the gameplay is next to nothing and unless you are either drunk or stupid
then this game will provide absolutely no excitement. If anyone has any
graphics or MUSIC especially that they think would help then please don't
hesitate to send it to me, or you can improve the graphics that are in the
pics file by using Dpaint or Ppaint. It was written in Amos so if you want
the source (About 700 lines without remarks(I think) which will run in Amos
1.3 or Amospro) which is full of good examples of Amos commands like
sub-routines, procedures, input and output, highscore tables, Amal commands,
Zones and all the other stuff you'd expect, then a small donation to cover
the cost for disks and my troubles (Lets say 4-5 pounds, but that's for
quality source code). Remember this agme is not anytype of "ware".

My Address :-

Also if you have ideas and any other examples of stuff you might have
done on Amos please send them to me and I might just send you the source if
the stuff is practical and good enough.

****** If you were a real StarTrek Fan you would just send me a donation****

Gameplay
--------

It's easy enough to play, it's all simple point and click to get going.
If you beat the highscore and are lucky enough to use the B-Draw function
that I cleverly created (Blush) then these are the descriptions and uses of
tools for the less intelliggent user:-

         * The one that looks like the word "Done" means exactly what it
           says.
         * The one that looks like a squiggly line lets you draw a
           ................a......squiggly .....line.
         * The one that looks like a square lets you draw a circle....no
sorry a square(?!). Click once for one corner and then click once
for the opposite corner. It's absolutely nothing like Dpaint, If
I had a pound for every time someone had tried to drag the squares
           size I'd have .......38p.
         * The one that looks like a can of falling over fills any area with
           the selected colour.
         * The square that has a line on it once again is quite self
           explanatary but I'll humour you......no I won't.

Phew! thats it, thats the technical stuff over with. Time to turn off and
play a real game, theres some good starTrek games knocking about on the
Aminet.

****** Long live StarTrek and send me idea's and money to keep me happy*****
