Short: Xv - Image processing AGA/OS3.0 recommended (68020+ & MUI) Author: John Bradley/Terje Pedersen (Amiga part) Uploader: terjepe@stud.cs.uit.no Type: gfx/edit This is a port of an X11 program called Xv (v3.10a) by John Bradley. This is version 2.18. man page info: The xv program displays images in the GIF, JPEG, TIFF, PBM, PGM, PPM, X11 bitmap, Utah Raster Toolkit RLE, PDS/VICAR, Sun Rasterfile, BMP, PCX, IRIS RGB, XPM, Targa, XWD, PhotoCD, possibly PostScript, and PM formats on workstations and terminals running the X11 Window System. History: (or his_story..) 2.18 Memory usage was a bit too high, somewhat reduced. Added a HVSpace in the interface making it resizable vertically also. when loading a 24 bit image then opening the coloreditor then loading an 8 bit image would cause a crash.. 2.17 Some more resource handling has been added. Now 'xv.display: Workbench' in AmigaDefaults will work! (and a truckload of others! 'setenv X11/debug 1' to see what resources xv is asking for!) autocrop didn't redraw the image. pressing return in the image window wouldn't load the current, but the last image in the list. 2.16 PNG support. The graph values were missing. If changing screenmode while the color editor was up would cause a screen to stay open. 2.15 Recent changes in the mui part of libX11 wasn't reflected in the 'old' xv source.. so the color window produced a huge amount of enforcer hits.. The 'lock screenmode' entry were missing. SAS optimizer generated a bug in tiff saving.. Saving filename behaved somewhat odd. Now new filename gets the old save directory in front. This program uses MUI! So it is safe to assume that you should have it installed before you try to run Xv! (2.2+ as found on aminet) TP
