Marcus Cole is one of the many Rangers
of the Conspiracy of Light. When his brother first joined the Rangers he thought
he was mad, and that he was simply trying to be a hero. His brother had warned
him about an imminant attack by the Shadows, but Marcus didn't listen. When the
Shadows attacked, his brother was killed in the fighting, and as he died Marcus
swore to take his place within the Rangers and to help finish what he had
started.
In 2260 Marcus escaped from Zagros 7 where many of the Rangers
were being trained, and travelled to Babylon 5. Once there he asked Sheridan to
help rescue the remaining Rangers from the blockade at Zagros 7. Marcus is a
trusted and loyal member of the Conspiracy of Light and will always keep his
word. When Delenn became head of the Rangers nearing the end of 2260, he risked
his own life to save hers by fighting Neroon of the Minbari Warrior Caste.
Neroon had intended to stop Delenn taking the position of Ranger 1 at any cost,
but after the fight with Marcus had seen how loyal they were to her. Marcus can
speak fluent Minbari, uses a fighting pike for defence, and admires Commander
Ivanova. |
