Lyta Alexander was born on 10th
December 2225 on Earth. She joined the Psi Corps at the age of 26 in 2252. While
working on the Psi Corps Intern Program she worked alongside Talia Winters. Lyta
has also worked as a Psi Cop but disliked her position. As a registered telepath
she has a rating of P5.
She became Babylon 5's first commercial telepath on January 3rd 2257.
As a loyal telepath she always kept to the rules of the Psi Corps. When
Ambassador Kosh was poisoned in 2257, Commander Sinclair convinced Lyta to
illegally scan the Vorlon in an attempt to save his life. As a result of the
scan Dr. Kyle was able to locate the poison and save the Vorlon's life. After
this incident Lyta was recalled to Earth and fiercely interrogated by the Psi
Corps in an attempt to discover what she had seen in the Vorlon's mind. Lyta
simply stated she had experienced a feeling she could not express in words. six
months after escaping from the Psi Corps, Lyta returned to Babylon 5 to warn the
Captain that they were under threat from a spy. 'Sleeper spies' as they are
known, are programmed with an alternate personality to subconsciously collect
information until they are telepathically sent a password to unlock it. Lyta
revealed the spy to be Talia Winters and Talia was sent back to Earth. Ever
since she had scanned Kosh in 2257, Lyta had always been drawn to Vorlon space.
In 2260 she finally got her wish when she returned to Babylon 5 with Kosh from
the Vorlon Homeworld, and now works as his aide. She has been a loyal ally of
the Conspiracy of Light as she proved later in 2260 when she managed to block a
Shadow ship's thoughts long enough for the White Star to destroy it.
