Lennier was born into the Religious
Caste and is a member of the Third Fain of Chu'Domo. He was raised in a
monastery from an early age and spent most of his time learning about other
races and studying the 97 different dialects of the Minbari language. He
achieved the rank of Master Adept in maths and excels in the area of
probability. Lennier also learnt Minbari martial arts intended for use in self
defence and has a strong passion for history.
In 2258 Lennier left the
monastery for the first time and travelled to Babylon 5 to assume his position
as Ambassador Delenn's aide. During his time on the station with Delenn he has
always stood by her, and in 2259, when she lost her place in the Grey Council,
refused to return home to Minbar, stating that he would stand by her side for
the rest of her life. Although Lennier lost many of his clan and family aboard
the Black Star in the Earth-Minbari war, he was never shown any hatred towards
Captain Sheridan. Lennier is a vital part of the crew of the White Star, both as
the pilot and as a translator for the Minbari crew. Like Dr. Franklin, he
believes all life is sacred, and in 2260, during a series of bombings aboard the
station, put his own life in danger trying to save Delenn and Londo. As part of
a religious ceremony Lennier revealed to Marcus that he was in love with Delenn,
but knew her love was for someone else. |
