Hi! These pictures of me (Gareth Murfin) and my Amiga were scanned from Amiga Format Magazine issue 101. It was a review I did about Tower Amiga's. My tower is a GateWay 2000 one taken from a PC and then converted to the Amiga. It was only a coincidence that GateWay happened to buy Amiga weeks later.

Inside the tower the motherboard is placed horizontally, this may seem awkward but it allows me to use the PCMCIA slot without having to buy expensive adaptors. Since the CPU of this Amiga is an 040 which are renound for being very hot the tower is equipped with three fans which suck in cool air at the front and release warm air at the back. Because of this the room gets quite hot after the computer has been on a few hours!

The tower is very large as you can see. This is because the Amiga motherboard is so large it wont fit into a mini tower. The only problem with this tower is that although it has an abundance of large bays it only has one smaller bay. This is awkward because most Amiga's have 2 disk drives or more. To get around this problem I have put DF0: at the rear of the tower in case of emergencies :)

Here is the computer from another angle. The black machine under the monitor is an Amiga CD³² and the Black objects to the left of the monitor are huge speakers which are linked to a Stereo System and Amplifier. The little green thing ontop of the speakers is a small porceline hippo. In the background you can see the old shell of my A1200 which is mounted on my wall.
