Points of Departure
Five days after Sinclair's surprising re-assignment as the Earth Ambassador on the Minbari Homeworld, Babylon 5 must prepare for the arrival of its new commanding officer. Captain John Sheridan, known by the Minbari as 'Starkiller', assumes control of the station. Sheridan is the only Human to have successfully destroyed a Minbari war cruiser. Because of this some of the Minbari object to his position, and he must now avoid confrontation with the rouge Minbari war cruiser, the Tragati, as it theatens to attack the station. Garibaldi remains critically ill in Medlab and Lennier is to reveal a long kept secret involving the transformation of Delenn and what really happened on the Battle of the Line. |
Revelations
Sheridan's sister, Elizabeth, arrives on the station to try and help him come to terms with the death of his wife. Anna Sheridan disappeared after an accident aboard the exploration vessel, Icarus, while investigating some newly discovered ancient remains. Delenn emerges from her transformation and reveals her amazing new appearance. As Garibaldi remains in a coma, Dr. Franklin and Sheridan decide conventional medicine alone will not be enough to save him and proceed to use an unauthorised alien device to speed his recovery. G'Kar returns to Babylon 5 with news of the awakening of a feared ancient enemy, and after the destruction of the Narn outpost in Quadrant 37, Londo's alliance with the mysterious Morden grows stronger. |
The Geometry of Shadows
Ivanova is promoted to the rank of Commander by Sheridan and is given the task of finding a peaceful end to the violence between two warring factions of the Drazi. The Drazi have begun the ritual fight for superiority that is staged by them every five years. The station sees the arrival of one hundred Techno-mages, A race that use science to achieve magic. Londo seeks an audience with them in an attempt to gain more influence with the Centauri Emperor back on Centauri Prime. Garibaldi begins to doubt his ability as Security Chief on Babylon 5, and delays his return to work while he comes to terms with his recent ordeal. |
A Distant Star
The Explorer ship, Cortez, arrives at Babylon 5 to restock before its next journey. The Cortez returns after two years out on the Rim and with it brings many stories of strange black ships that disappear in the blink of an eye. The Cortez leaves Babylon 5, but soon after entering hyperspace it loses power, and Sheridan must begin a dangerous rescue attempt. Never before has a ship been rescued from hyperspace. Delenn's position within the Minbari comes under fire as many Minbari question her transformation. Dr. Franklin begins to show more interest in the crew's health, and begins to annoy them with unwanted diet information. |
The Long Dark
A one hundred year old exploration craft enters Babylon 5 space and is returned to the station. The Copernicus is an Earth vessel and found to contain two cryogenically frozen Humans, one woman, and one dead man. The woman is revived by Dr. Franklin in Medlab and soon becomes a suspect for the man's murder. Soon after, the woman begins to experience strange flashbacks from her time in suspended animation aboard the Copernicus. Meanwhile, Garibaldi befriends a lurker from Down Below who claims the ship has bought a deadly creature to the station. Garibaldi begins to investigate, and the crew must prepare to destroy the creature before it begins to prey on the Station's residents. |
Spider in the Web
Taro Isogi, a man with a dream to end the violence on Mars, begins his talks on Babylon 5. Shortly after, Talia Winters witnesses his murder and becomes the killer's next target. Further investigation reveals the killer to be Abel Horn, a prominent member of the 'Free Mars' movement who was reported to have died during the 2258 Mars rebellion. Sheridan begins to suspect that Abel Horn has been used in an experiment called 'Project Lazarus', one of Earth's cyber experiments. The experiment involved the subjects being implanted with machines in their minds, and now Garibaldi and his team must track him down before he can kill again. |
A Race Through Dark Places
Bester returns to Babylon 5 on the trail of unregistered telepaths thought to be escaping through the station. The Psi Corps believes that the station houses an underground railroad, aiding their escape from the grip of the Corps. When Talia Winters is kidnapped by the rogue telepaths, she begins to question her future with the Psi Corps as they explain their reasons for escaping. With Delenn's recent change, she asks Sheridan to dinner in the hope of creating a greater understanding of Humans. Soon after, both Ivanova and Sheridan find themselves locked out of their quarters for not paying extra Earth Force rent. |
Soul Mates
As Londo prepares to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his ascension day he receives a gift from the Centauri Emperor. The Emperor has granted him permission to divorce two of his three wives, keeping only one to stand by his side for future state affairs. Talia Winters' ex-husband, Matthew Stoner, visits the station and brings with him an opportunity for Talia to leave the Psi Corps. An accident involving a present at Londo's celebration party leaves the Centauri Ambassador in a life threatening condition in Medlab. The origin of the object is traced to Matthew Stoner, and Garibaldi starts to investigate. Meanwhile, Delenn asks Ivanova for help in handling her Human characteristics. |
The Coming of Shadows
The Centauri Emperor visits Babylon 5 to give an important speech. G'Kar prepares to assassinate him in revenge for the many Narn deaths caused by his family, but fails as the Emperor falls ill. Shortly after, G'Kar receives an apology from the Centauri Emperor for the way his family has treated the Narn. Londo makes the decision to declare war on the Narn by telling the Shadows to attack a Narn colony in quadrant 14. With the Narn colony completely destroyed by the Shadows, the Narn strike back and the fight begins. A stranger delivers a message to Garibaldi from his old friend Sinclair, warning him that a great darkness is coming. Sheridan calls a Council meeting to try and help, but it is too late as G'Kar reveals that the Narn have officially declared war on the Centauri. |
GROPOS
Babylon 5 sees the arrival of 25,000 Earth Force GROPOS known as Ground Pounders. Sheridan is informed that the troops are on a classified mission and is instructed to find living quarters for the General's troops. At the briefing General Franklin, father of Dr. Franklin, reveals that although officially the troops are bound for Io, that is not the mission's aim. The General's orders are in fact to attack a rebel strong hold located a short jump from the station. The arrival of the troops also brings a new weapons upgrade for Babylon 5's defence grid. As the crew learns to live with the Earth Force troops, Ivanova advises Dr. Franklin to sort out his differences with his father while he has the chance. |
All Alone in the Night
Following sightings of an unknown ship in Babylon 5 space, Sheridan heads up a group of Starfuries to investigate. The four Starfuries come under attack and Sheridan is forced to eject. A bright beam from the unknown ship pulls Sheridan on board and he is then submitted to strange experiments. Meanwhile, Delenn is summoned to the Grey Council and loses her position to Neroon of the Warrior Caste. General Hague arrives at the station to see Sheridan and joins Ivanova in the rescue attempt. After the Captain's safe return to the station, General Hague reveals that he suspects a conspiracy within the Earth Government and asks for his help. |
Acts of Sacrifice
As the war between the Centauri and the Narn continues to escalate, G'Kar asks both Sheridan and Delenn for military help in an attempt to stop the Centauri attacks. The tension increases after Zack is forced to shoot a Narn involved in a fight with a Centauri. The Narn population of Babylon 5 prepare to attack the Centauri population on the station and G'Kar finds his position of Narn Ambassador under threat as he tries to stop the violence. Sheridan receives word back from Earth and is instructed not to intervene, but he and Delenn plan to help Narn civilians escape death by the Centauri. Ivanova is given the important job of persuading the Lumati representatives to join the Earth Alliance at any cost, but she gets more than she bargained for. |
Hunter, Prey
Earth Force Special Intelligence arrive on the station in pursuit of Dr. Everett Jacobs, an old friend of Dr. Franklin and one of the late President's high ranking Earth Dome personnel. When Sheridan discovers Dr. Jacobs has information that can help prove President Santiago was assassinated, he decides to try and help the doctor. Garibaldi and Dr. Franklin both go undercover in Down Below to try to find the doctor and help him escape. General Hague also sends a message to Sheridan to inform him that his life may be in danger. Sheridan meets with Kosh in an attempt to learn more about the Vorlons, but gets only cryptic answers in return, although the Vorlon reacts strangely when asked "What do you want?". |
There All the Honor Lies
As Sheridan pursues a thief who has stolen his Link, he finds himself caught in a fight with a Minbari. In the struggle to escape Sheridan shoots the Minbari dead and finds himself accused of murder. Sheridan explains there was a witness who will confirm it was self defence, but when Delenn and Lennier find the Minbari called Ashan, he simply states that Sheridan attacked and killed in cold blood. Garibaldi suspects a set-up and continues to investigate Ashan. A lawyer from Earth also joins the Captain in an attempt to avoid his trial and dismissal from head of the station. Meanwhile, Ivanova is given the job of looking into the validity of the Babylon 5 gift shop, and Vir learns he is to be replaced as Londo's assistant. |
And Now for a Word
Babylon 5 becomes the centre of attention as Interstellar News journalist Cynthia Torqueman hosts a behind the scenes look at the station's everyday life and operations. Throughout the 36 hour ISN Report the coverage includes a close look at a nearby Narn-Centauri conflict, as the two warring parties continue to fight for supremacy. As the fighting draws closer to home Babylon 5 is forced to defend itself from the Centauri. Cynthia also interviews many people aboard the station, including the command crew and the main ambassadors aboard the station, to hear their views on Babylon 5. |
Knives
Sheridan decides to take a closer look at an area of the station known as the B5 Triangle, a mysterious area of Babylon 5 where strange occurrences have been reported. While in the area he discovers a dead alien that appears to strike out at him. After returning from the area he begins to experience strange visions and hallucinations. Sheridan visits Dr. Franklin but the doctor can't find anything wrong with him. As the visions continue Sheridan takes a Starfury out into sector 14, believing it to be the answer. Also, Londo has a visit from an old friend called Urza Jaddo, Who asks the Centauri Ambassador for help in reinstating his family honour. |
In the Shadow of Z'ha'dum
Sheridan discovers Morden was aboard the Icarus exploration craft when it was mysteriously destroyed over Z'ha'dum with the loss of many archaeologists, including Sheridan's wife, Anna. The expedition was there to investigate newly found ancient alien ruins on the planet's surface. The Captain begins to interrogate Morden in the hope of discovering why his wife and many others were killed, and becomes obsessed with finding the truth. As the interrogation continues he begins to defy station regulations as well as stern warnings by Ivanova and Garibaldi. Delann and Kosh later meet with Sheridan and insist that, for everyone's safety, Morden must be released immediately. |
Confessions and Lamentations
Dr. Franklin becomes concerned when a large number of Markabs aboard Babylon 5 begin to fall ill and die without an apparent cause. Upon further investigation he is informed by his Markab colleague, Lazarenn, that the deaths are result of a deadly virus that wiped out a remote Markab community centuries earlier. As Dr. Franklin continues to search for a cure to help avoid the Markabs' extinction, he is forced to quarantine the infected alien community away from other station residents. Shortly after, the death of a Pak'ma'ra raises questions about the safety of other races aboard the station. |
Divided Loyalties
Lyta Alexander, the station's first resident telepath and now a fugitive from the Psi Corps, arrives back on Babylon 5. Lyta informs the Captain that there may be a 'sleeper' spy within his crew. She claims that the spy has been implanted by the Psi Corps, with an alternative personality that can be activated with a telepathic password. The aim of this is to let the spy gather information without the knowledge of its destination. Lyta also tells Sheridan that she has the password and can help him reveal the spy by telepathically scanning the crew members. Ivanova objects to the Captain's request to let Lyta scan her, and reveals a well hidden secret about herself. |
The Long, Twilight Struggle
When the Centauri come into possession of Narn plans to attack one of their heavily guarded supply worlds, they begin to make plans to hit back. With this information they once again call on their powerful ally, the Shadows, as they plan to avert the Narn attack and strike back with deadly force by attacking the Narn Homeworld. Delenn and Sheridan are summoned by Draal to Epsilon 3, and once there are informed by him that they have his and the great machine's support in the struggle against darkness that lies ahead. Delenn also introduces Sheridan to the undercover army of light, simply known as the Rangers. |
Comes the Inquisitor
As G'Kar attempts to rally the Narns aboard Babylon 5 against their deadly conqueror, he once again finds his position of authority under question. Kosh orders Delenn to undergo a long and torturous interrogation by a man know only as, Sebastian. The meeting is a test of willpower to prove her allegiance to both the Vorlons and to the Conspiracy of Light. Under the constant preasure and pain of the interrogation Delenn begins to break and Sheridan decides to step in to help her, only to find his own life in danger. G'Kar manages to get word through from Narn relatives back on the devestated Narn Homeworld, and as a result regains his position as the leader of the Narns aboard the station. |
The Fall of Night
Two representatives from Earth's, Ministry of Peace are sent to investigate further Centauri aggression as the Earth Alliance prepare to sign a non-aggression treaty with the Centauri. When Sheridan offers sanctuary to a Narn heavy cruiser, he finds his life and the safety of the station under threat. While travelling in a transport tube, high above the station gardens, Sheridan discovers a Centauri bomb on board and is forced to jump from the tube. As Sheridan plunges to certain death above the gardens, Kosh reveals a long kept secret when he removes his encounter suit to help the Captain, much to the delight of many of the station's residents, Londo, who was present, insists he saw nothing. Warren Keffer, leader of Zeta Squadron, also makes an important discovery while in hyperspace that will cost him his life. |
