I wish I was a bit more proactive with my website. I actually had this book about a month and a half ago, even though it was only published on May 29th in the UK. The reason is that we (at the magazine I work for) do occasionally review books published by John Wiley & Sons because they publish computer reference books. They sent us this one and though I have no love for Bill Gates, I thought I might give it the once over. James Wallace (the author of the previous unauthorised Bill Gates biography Hard Drive) has a nice writing style that doesn't interfere with the information he's presenting as he feeds out the tale of how Microsoft was pretty much caught with their pants down as far as the internet was concerned. Hell, I was on the internet before Bill Gates even knew about it!

All that's revealed in the book, if it's true, only makes me despise Microsoft all the more. If, like me, you own an Amiga, then you should read this book. It will give you facts that you can confront smug PC owners with, it will enable you to do some of your own sneering and get your own back. Having said that, you might want to wait for the paperback version to come out, it will be a lot cheaper.
