Go to Green Park Station in Bath, it's the picture on the main page of this website (it may not be by the time you read this of course). They have a bookstall there that has some cracking books on it at very reasonable rates. I don't suppose there's much point me giving this book's ISBN number or price since the publication date on it is from 1986 and it only cost me £2.50.

Anyway, Glitz is a tale of a Miami cop, a twisted crook, gambling, hotels and lurrv. As usual, the characters are well pencilled in, but designed almost specifically to appeal to the macho male psyche. The hero, Vincent Mora is thoughtful but tough, you know, the strong silent type. The people he comes up against all realise this at some point or other and then spend their time trying to be as close to him as possible. Even so, an entertaining read, but not one of his best. It possibly also suffers from starting on Glitz immediately after putting Stormy Weather down, but hey ho, never mind. That said, it's not as good, funny or dramatic as Stormy Weather, so I give it a:
