SpaceFarming is shareware. This means the copyright
to the game stays with the author (me). This is only
a demo version of the game and may be freely distributed
as long as all the files are included. DON'T mess with
the way the files are ordered as the game won't work
if you do. No assigns are needed. You may include this
game on any cover disk/CD-ROM you like, include it
on a PD/Shareware CD-ROM or upload it to any BBS you
like. (Please do this!) Thank you for supporting
shareware...

SpaceFarming is a game pretty similar to the old hit
'Oil Imperium'. Instead of digging for oil you grow
grain.
The game is set to a future time. Man kind has colonized
space. Many people move out from the surface of the
planets and into space stations orbiting the planets and
stars. These people need food. Importing grain from
planets is expensive so someone came up with the idea of
growing grain in huge space stations orbiting planets
and stars. This would make the grain a lot cheaper and
encourage people to move out from the crowded planets
and into the space stations.
Buy a sector around a planet/star and buy a space station
where you can grow your crops. Also remember to buy a
grain tank (to store your grain in). Sabotage the other
players, dump the grain prices in a system by selling
huge amounts of grain there, build a grain imperium, do
what ever you like. To win the game you must crush all
your opponents (they must be busted). The last player
not bankrupt will win the game.
The game is a multiplayer game. You need at least 2
human players but you can have up to 9 (NINE!) players
at once! (Only 3 in demo version)
The game includes an on-line help system. At any time you
may press the 'Help'-key and you will get help. Place the
mouse pointer over something you don't know what is and
press 'Help' or just place the mouse pointer in an empty
area and press 'Help' to get some general help about the
current screen.
The game is turn based. Each turn is a ½ year. You get
crops each turn.
Try out the game! Use the on-line help and think logical.
If you've ever played Oil Imperium before think of that
game when playing this. It'll help you a lot to get
started.

This is only a demo-version of SpaceFarming and has got
some limitations:
-You can have only 3 players. (9 in full version)
-You can't save/load your games.
-The game stops after about 1 hour.

To get rid of these limitations you must register the game.
In the full game you can also design your own logos. The
demo version includes some duff looking standard logos for
each player.
Other things under development:
 -A serial link option (play at two amigas at once)

The serial link option will be available to all registered
users when finished.
