NewBoot Version 1.1 (C) by André Wichmann of CLUSTER in 09/1990. Posener Weg 4 5300 Bonn 1 West Germany This program is Freeware and may be copied if this doc-file is included and no profit is gained with distribution. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- NewBoot V1.1 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a new powerful bootblock including some nice routines. It is of course NO VIRUS.There are two versions, a PAL version and a NTSC version with less features.Use NBInstall_PAL and NBInstall_NTSC to install a disk in df0: with NewBoot V1.1. !WARNING! Be sure that there is no special bootblock loader often found on games.I'm NOT responsible if you have destroyed any bootblock, so be sure that you only install disks with normal bootblocks! If you boot a disk installed with NewBoot V1.1, the following will happen: - The screen turns dark yellow to show that NewBoot V1.1 is still on this disk. - If the right mouse-button is pressed, the screen turns cyan and nothing special will happen (e.g. a normal bootblock will be executed and the following will be skipped.) - All reset-vectors will be cleared (CoolCapture, ColdCapture, KickTagPtr and KickMemPtr) - There will be no NTSC Amigas (only PAL version) - The CLI-Window will open with max-size, e.g. 256 pixels (only PAL) - If the left mouse-button is pressed the screen will turn purple and all FASTMEM will be killed - A FastText routine will be installed. That means every routine using _LVOText will become very fast ! Try to use page-up/down with an editor like genam2, ed, amigabasic etc...The routine is certainly able to exist under multitasking ! Well, I think that's a nice collection of useful routines in the bootblock. Before I wrote this bootblock I used in my startup-sequence NoNTSC, NoFastMem, MaxSize and BlitzText. No I put all these programs in the bootblock plus killing all viruses and my disk is much faster and has more free space. Enjoy this bootblock ! ...AW 30/09/1990...
