"vltimer" is a VERY small (4796 bytes) utility program, that opens a
window into the VLT screen (any type of screen, any number of colors);
or on the Workbench screen, if VLT is not running (or if VLT is itself
opened on the Workbench screen). The window contains either a timer or
a digital clock, that you can switch using a "cycle" gadget; a "zero"
gadget can be used to reset the timer.

I have found this program useful when connecting to a remote computer,
in order to check with the timer the connection time (and the connection
costs :^); the "clock" function was added because when working with the
Amiga I often loose the consciousness of the time.

"vltimer" can be run from the CLI (it detaches himself from CLI) or from
the Workbenck; when started, the timer is active. The window cannot
change screen, so if you need it on the VLT screen you should start VLT
before (or start a second copy).
Remember that, when you click in the vltimer window, the VLT main window
is no longer active and cannot receive your keyboard input (yes,
straightforward, but ...).

The program can be freely distributed and modified, as long as no money
is charged for this; but please leave the original headers with my name,
and write to me, to let me know any improvement, at the address given in
the source header and here too.

"vltimer" requires "screenshare.library", that cen be found in the Fred
Fish collection, to be in your LIBS: directory.
