Friends and fiends meet, party together or fight eachothers. Walking around the halls is like reading a yellowpress-magazine. Generation has done so and collected the hottest and most personal stories available. The crowd asks who he could be. Not much is certain, all we know is that this mate has before released two or three intros and one demo which (according to c03 Kestrel/Syndromec02) the mysterious Ben described as being bad himself. This would be his first real release. The other Bombmen were almost as idealess about the identity ofc03 Benc02 themselves: "f4We first learned to know him at this party.f1" We have an absolute newcomer who in the first place described himself as developer of a bad demo. He is a frenchman and pops up just to have the almost broken down crew climb up again. Huge parts of his demo consist of vectorworlds. c03 Ghengisc02, are you somewhere out there? c01f2LAXICAL/SCOOPEXf1 c02We got this dude! No possibility to deny, we have at least seven eyewitnesses that he danced to Europop/-techno in the small discotheque in Aars. Not that this would be very interesting to any of the readers, but he will get a heartattack when reading this as he must be one of the worlds biggest haters of just that kind of music. More interesting, however, his 18 year-old girlfriend is pregnant from our fellow Scener who himself is rather young with 21 to become a father. As the pregnancy can be described an accident, we wanted to know how he reacted on the happy news and if he is looking forward to his first child: "f4I gave the final decision to her if she wanted to keep it as her life is even more affected by this than mine. But yes, I am looking forward.f1" The decision turned against abortion in the end: "f4My parents have assured me that they will help out financially.f1" Nice to know for this bankapprentice surely. We wish you the best. If you are in search for potential names, we shall collect... c01f2DAMION/ARTWORKf1 c02Envious and ambitious as ever if someone gets into the ramplight, he claims to top c03Laxical c02 by being pregnant himself! With a look on his belly, one surely has to put believe in this. Asked for the way he got to it he announces that it is a "f4godly wonder.f1" Ouch. Nice to hear that you enjoy this, but: Have you ever spend a thought on where the baby will be released from your womb? c01f2TTS/OXYRONf1 c02'c04Trappedc02' his wellknown game has sold 450 times before X-Mas, which for a diskversion is not that bad at all. A CD-Rom version was unluckily released 23rd december - too late for the Christmas sales. "I got a call in November saying that they needed a CD-version for yesterday! I took all 68060 in range to use them for rendering. One of them even rendered an entire week through." Despite having it finished quite fast, the producing of the master CD-ROM, the copying and marketing plus distributing took much time so that the release was that much delayed. 'c04Trapped2c02' is due out in July. According toc03 TTSc02 it will feature new graphical features and an sped up graphics engine. Still the speed-up effect will be neutralized by the new facilities of the code. Therefore, the second version will run at around the same speed than its predecessor. c01f2CLARY/DRIFTERS & CRUXf1 c02The 23 year-old french coderesse who released e.g. "c04Discoc02" in 1996 revealed that she does not feel like being part of a french Scene. "f4French are so macho. They always say that french demos are so great and everything else is not.f1" Most of all she is annoyed by the way she gets treated as female by her landsmen: "f4They call me a bitch on the IRC and try to force me to leave the Scene. French men cannot stand to find women to be better than themselves. But that doesn't hurt me. They are just stupid.f1" Also for 1997 she - who describes the Amiga as best thing that ever happened to her - has huge plans. A new demo for the Symposium is planned and she assures that she will enlighten us with more funny releases: "f4It's for the fun, I want people to have a laugh.f1" c01f2XXX/HAUJOBBf1 c02This guy is known to be a real troubleshooter and certainly not entirely easy to handle. At last years party, however, he and some fellow mates have really excelled themselves by far. The whole trip to The Party seemingly could be called orgiastic with multiple stays in certain dubious etablissements and discotheques. In one of them they 'found' a strange dude who, like XXX puts it: f4"Has problems with his parents." f1They brought this mate to the party without him having any idea about the Scene. As a special bonbon, they kindly prepared a new hairdo with an old scissor for him, while he was sleeping. The result reminded of a hedgehog after a fire in the forests. Comment XXX:f4"He did the first cut himself!" f1Well, that explains it all, doesn't it? c01f2RA/SANITYf1 c02After c03 Louiec02 andc03 Dannyc02 competing eachothers withc04 Spacetits#2c02 andc04 #3c02 the french once again seem to have beaten the inoriginal coverups of his colleagues in the graphic competition at The Party VI. You cannot remember to have read his name in the entries list? We cannot either, but it actually seems an open secret that it was no one then this mate getting the first price there. Still, this is not confirmed officially. f2c01UYANIK!/TRSIf1 c02It seems unthinkable, but a totally tired head of the legendary group, who short after fell asleep in the cafeteria, lays open to us that 'c04Twin Peaks (beta)c02' will most likely be the last c03 TRSIc02-demo on Amiga ever as the old demosection stops and it does not seem as if new forces could be allowed in. He also states to be a little tired of producing and promoting CD's forc03 TRSI Recordz c02 at the moment present. By the way: The official name of the company is now c03TRSI&Fairlight Recordzc02 (or similar). c01f2FISHWAVE/SARDONYXf1 c02He promises a new face and enlarged facilities for CN. At the moment he seems very content with the ongoings in his team. Especially when remembering how he and his colleagues managed to write 400kbyte of text in just a very short period of time, he starts smiling like a 6 year-old boy on Christmas. Interesting also that it seems that he managed to get the rights on c04Scenereticac02 fromc03 Macnoc02. This could mean that the long missed "Pearls" shall return. f2c01THE TWINS/TRSIf1 c02In the ASCII-text delivered with their fine 'c03Twin Peaksc02' demo they openly accuse c03 Azure/Artworkc02 to have ripped their routines for his demo 'The Gate'. An accusal which gains double emphasis when realising that they used the work from two (also) c03Artwork c02members in their entry, which finally reached the welldeserved third place. Quotation from that text: "f4This group (Artwork) wants to join us at the beginning of 1996 to make a big Demo called The Gate. We've send our new Routines (the bumpmapping ones !) and explained this to the Coder. Some Month later the Main-Coder wants to make the Demo without us and we leaved the group. (...)f1" Then follows a passage in German which translates like this: "f4Yet to steal routines seems to be your determination (like one has heard from many and like you admitted yourself!). Arrogance is also a match for azure-blue-shining!!f1" Asked after this, c03Azurec02 first refuses commentary but we at least got the following words: "f4The statements neither are correct in the content nor in the chronography. How and why shall I have copied a routine from them in January 1996 which I already first have released in December'95 and which was known before (3D-Bumpmaping in 'Creep' respectivly 2D-Bumpmapping in 'Closer')?f1" Furthermore he denies to have ever admitted in stealing routines and concludes: "Btw. bumpmapping was included into an Amiga-Demo in c03'Zif'c02, mid of 1995. Twins therefore may neither state they 'created' any kind of bumpmapping nor that I copied from them." Shall this be the start of a beautiful friendship? f2c01ANTIBYTE/SCOOPEXf1 c02This fellow obviously was not awilled to believe in his second place from the 40k-competition. Several times he has been seen shaking his head after receiving his price as if to express that this all could not be true. The first price was taken away by c03 TTS/Oxyronc02 for having just crammed the graphic-engine from 'c04Trappedc02' into a 40kbyter. Whilec03 Antibyte'sc02 entry surely was the more fashionable one when it comes to latest design and music, the German programmer himself was the more fashionable character. No doubt that the "f4Hamburg-Possef1", a huge bunch of Sceners from northern Germany pushed him to his very first prime success after many misfortunate attempts. f2c01GHANDY & SIXPACK/GODSf1 c02These two give the best prove that the technical editor for a diskmag is not just a copyslave like too many people still think: "f4Without c03Sixpackc02 preparing the editing and compiling, I just couldn't finishc04 Jurassic Packc02.f1" The German knows to tell. The calm Norwegian (who is responsible also for the unlucky name) and the chatter c03Ghandyc02 make a good team, so much is true. Also the fuzz aroundc04 DISCc02 andc04 JPc02 seems to have an end asc03 Sixpackc02 andc03 Ghandyc02 claim. D.I.S.C. and Jurassic Pack will melt and continued by both teams under the label of D.I.S.C. Both mentioned editors are sure that this is the better way to go for D.I.S.C. is an established legend and widely remembered by many Sceners.
