c09Oh  yes,  just when you feel to have made it all safe, some wankers come to pee
at your leg.  Annoying?  Possibly maybe, probably not.
Do you know that the bitter attacks, certain editors seemingly run against this
mag  and  especially  one  of  its  main-eds recently, are nothing but a wanted
PR-campaign  to  boast  their  and  our  position  on the market?  Yes, you can
believe  your eyes, it's true - or why do you think popped those attacks up the
same  moment,  c07Generation  c09needed massive advertising to enter the competition?
Read more on that in this very issue of your favourite fanzine.


Needless  to  say that Generation has yet again acknowledged some changes.  The
most  important  however  has  already been tipped at in the earlier paragraph:
c08The  Ripper  has joined in Artwork to become the second main-ed.  c09Give applaude
to this Italian - he will soon top the charts.  And I mean it.


The  Amiga-Scene  reasonably  exists  for  nine  years  now and no one from the
socalled  real  world ever cared.  Except maybe for taking its past as alibi to
withdraw promised sponsoring money from competitions, when one overdid it while
the Olympic Games.
It  seems,  these  times  are  over!  At The Summer Party a camerateam strolled
around,  filming  and  interviewing  for  a  special  to  be broadcasted by the
french-german  channel  c07Artec09.   Arte  as  a good sign?  Nomen est omen, so keep
being informed by Generation about the ongoings.


From  recent years, we have been used to the obligatory summers hole.  Diskmags
like any other publication usually have to fight for reasonable topics over the
months  six  to  eight  of the running year.  1996 makes an exception from this
bloody rule.  Unnumbered parties have taken place, even more releases have been
given  to  the  audience.  A reason to celebrate?  Surely not!  Inflationarily,
demos  pop  up,  one  by  one  without  a  face,  without spirit.  Just for the
pricemoney.
Read  the  critics  and  come to understand why it is legitimate to program for
competition exclusivly, yet why it is illegitimate to participate with the same
demo in four competitions.


In case you wondered about the April fool in the last issue:  The article about
the  c08KillVirusKiller-Virus was complete and utter nonsense.  c09There of course is
no  virus  like  that.   At least due referring directly to c07Christoph Fischer c09-
this man is a real person, who in fact is one of the few virushunters worldwide
- we at least have manged to fool other virus hunters.  In a test of all common
viruskillers  by  some c07TRSI-dudesc09, our virus was to be found in the list of all
known  viruses.   Although they admitted in not having found any samples, it is
good to hear that any viruskiller can detect and destroy it, isn't it?
There  was  another  april  fool,  a  more  private  one.   Have  a look at the
'Essential Adresses'-list from issue 21 and find out why c07Damion c09was not awilled
to talk to me for three weeks (he did not detect it).


Finally,  we  have  asked  YOU,  dear  readers,  for  your opinion.  Not by the
obligatory   votesheet,  but  by  our  unique  c07OpinionPollSheet  c09(note  to  all
narrow-minded spoilsports:  This is a name so do not mutter about the way it is
written, fools!).  The response was overwhelming - thank you to all people with
the right spirit out there!
So,  for  the  first  time  ever,  Generation  is  enabled  and proud to give a
representitive  overlook  on  what Sceners actually are interested to read.  No
speculations anymore - it is all sorted out and today it will be made clear.


Do  not  moan we did not warn you, jealous colleagues from the writing quarter,
if  you  yet  again fatally miss the audiences interest with your publications.
