ÿÿ00ÿ ÿ00ÿ01ÿ03ÿ01C64-Emulator not Wanted Anymore ÿ00 ÿÿ ÿ03ÿ02PUH / AGONY ÿ02ÿ01ÿ01ÿ00ÿÿ ÿÿ01I am in desperate need of a Commodore 64-emulator for my 1200. I simply have to play H.E.R.O. and Kickstart II again, and then you might say whatever you want concerning my being a game addicted lamer and retroperspectively aiming mongo. Consequently, whoever sends me a full scale C64-emulator can expect a life-time subscription on Oepir Risti plus, of course, an unlimited number of free advertisements. ÿÿ02Puh / Agony ÿ01Halliden 4 436 39 Askim Sweden Phone (+46) (0)31-280862 ÿThis advertisement has been published as an own article (so to speak) in the latest three issues (I think...) of Oepir Risti, without my having received as much as a glimpse of response from anybody. At that time, I did not have any connection to the Internet whatsoever, nor did I really know much about 64-emulators in general, so I thought that hell, maybe there are no such emulators for the A1200. This summer, I achieved the possibility to visit the Aminet. Without really knowing why, I ended up in the EMULATORS-section, and what did I see? At least four different C64-emulators meant for the Amiga smiled at me from the 21' colour monitor. It would be a fair conclusion to draw that I became happy, but that's wrong; things like that pisses me of. What I am saying is that my 64-advertisement had been seen by a fair number of persons around the world (well, there's no doubt about that, even though Oepir Risti isn't considered to be the most spread magazine around), and it would surprise me VERY much if NONE of them had any idea of the existence of the requested emulators. It is, in fact, quite likely that some of those who read my scream for help actually had an emulator or two on their very HDs, or at least knew where I could get my hands on one (emulator, that is). Then, you might ask yourself, why is it that nobody did anything? I mean, does everybody hate me, or have I done anything that made them unwilling to help me? No, that is, as far as I know, not the case. Is the world, then, too lazy to write me a two-line letter or give me a phone-call? No, not really, I'd say, considering the fact that such a letter or phone-call would take some five minutes to write respectively carry out. What is it then? I am afraid to say that I know the answer, and the answer is (and I quote here) "WHY SHOULD I?". Yeah, why should you, you don't know me, do you? And, I gather, there is no reason to help somebody you don't really know, is there? "WELL, WHAT WOULD I GAIN IF YOU HELPED HIM?" Knowing a little about the potential greed of humanity, I even offered a life-time subscription on Oepir Risti, which, would I say, is a fair deal, but NO, NO and NO. This distance to reality and kindness is not only a gruesome fact and a sad circumstance, it is also the reason to the disasters you watch on the nine-o'clock-news on TV. WHY SHOULD I CARE, I DON'T LIVE IN AFRICA? BOTHERS ME LESS, I AM NOT THREATENED BY EXTINCTION! THAT DOES NOT TOUCH ME, HELL, WHO ASKED THOSE WHALES TO EXIST ANYWAY? I am truly ashamed. ÿ01
