I wonder why?˙ ˙00 ˙01 Hello people, yes this is my first ever article for OR! So not many of you will have heard of me. I'm soon to become a main editor of my own diskmag Abduction from Digital. Well the article as you can guess from the title is about the UK scene. It will contain brief information on each of the UK groups who are alive and active today. Not that many as you will notice. Without a doubt the most talented group is Anathema. Their group is purely based on friendship, as I was a member not so long ago! Every member is talented in some way or another. The most known member would have to be Michael the musician. Anathema's passed big releases are namely, Chip Attack and Channel 4 two music disks. Also issue 10 of Deadlock disk magazine along with the intro called Revolution. They are planning some very promising productions such as Chip Attack 2 and Deadlock 11. Both looking very good. Deadlock 11 is totally different from Deadlock 10. It has a new coder for issue 11, namely Tim Of The Black Lotus. So look out for that! Another one of the big groups is Eltech. Although they are very inactive they have released the pack "Lunch Pak" which is quite good and the Digital Chips series. Which is below average. However, Eltech again have some very talented members such as Wade, the graphician. Eltech are currently working on a UK Charts. It is supposed to be very good and out soon. So watch out for that soon! The only other known good group is the Grasshopper Developments. Known for their own wacky style. They have produced humorous productions such as Hop Shop 1 and Mooko Mo. They again have some talented members namely Coolio and Kaneda. Coolio is soon getting his own pack "Too Hot" which should be a very nice production! Look out for that! The old masters Digital are now back, Cache/Digital the leader decided to re-build them. So Digital is now back. I (Nemes!s) am the first member to join Digital 96. They have released nothing yet, but maybe by the time this article see's the light they would have released their diskmag called Abduction. The main editor is Me (Nemes!s) and the co-editor is Karlos/Phuture 303. Look out for that as it should be very nice! Nearly forgot! Phuture 303 are a very well known UK based group. Pretty active too! With releases such as Subculture and Nostaligia 2 they have achieved a high standard and are a quality group. Their most known members are Lfo and Parsec. Both coders and Lfo is also a musician. Expect a lot from this group in the future as well as a position in charts! The only other UK groups are: ˙02 Strobe Void Carnage NFA ˙01 Apart from Void none of these groups could really stand a chance of ever becoming a elite group. Carnage and NFA give the UK a very bad image. Them two groups should never be spoken about!!! Well I hope this little article gives you a overview of the UK scene. If not, don't hesitate to send me a letter, my advert is in the advert section. Well thanks for reading. ˙01
