    SHARK is freeware and comes without warranty.

    SHARK is a demon program, that checks every disk inserted in any  drive,
    wether it is a disk from  Fred  Fish's  freely  redistibutable  software
    library. (I.e. if the disk is named "AmigaLibDiskXXX" or "ffXXX", and it
    contains a file called "Contents" in the root directory.) 

    If the disk is "a fish", its contents-file will be  copied  to  a  given
    directory on your hard-disk, and in the same step it will by renamed  as
    "fcf.XXX". 

    SHARK is started from the CLI(!) as follows: 

                                SHARK <dirname>

    where <dirname> is the name of the directory, where you  want  SHARK  to
    put the contents files.  This  normally  should  be  a  directory  on  a
    hard-disk, but it is also possible to use a disk directory. 

    SHARK can be thrown out of your system by a second run. 

    Unfortunately, SHARK does not work for old disks (below 100 or  so),  as
    the contents-file was called README.DISTxx then. However, you  can  copy
    and rename the files manually.

    To use this contents files, I personally  (SKsh-user)  use  constructios
    like:
                  cd ~SharkBase/
                  echo * | xargs SKSHBIN:fgrep <search-string>

    P.S.: As I use a customized CWEB-version, (I just was ready with it,  as
    I read that someone else was faster distributing  a  CWEB-port  for  the
    Amiga) my source documents look quite different from the  usual  CWEAVE-
    outputs. So, I included SHARK.tex in the distribution.
