I (Christophe CARVAJAL) am an Amiga software programmer and I own a Roland JV30 Synth and I wanted a patch editor for my machine. Because I hate waiting for software that are never released I decided to create my own GS / General Midi Sound Editor : The General Midi Patcher. I've designed this fully mouse-driven editor called "General Midi Patcher" dedicated to all the Roland GS/GM synths Serie including the SoundCanvas (SC55), the JV-30, the JW-50, boss DS330.... >>>> NEW <<<<< This version of General Midi Patcher Supports the SC55 MK2. The JV-30 (and other GS/GM synths) has memory addresses for storing the sounds configurations but you can accidently erase them and loose them forever! (With this new program you can save both PERFORMANCES or PATCHES on disk).This program also allows you to edit parameters that you can't manipulate with your synth's buttons (deep effects command on Reverb and Chorus !!!). 1. What is this program for ? This program allows you to create/store new sounds PATCHES for your synth(s) in REALTIME. This new version allows you to deeply operate on the sound parameters. In fact from version 1.0 to 1.1 the number of editing parameters passed from about 14 to about 100!!! and it's name has changed from Step By Step Patcher to General Midi Patcher (a more comprehensive name !). It has been developped for making sound editing operations as easy as possible for making your brain concentrated on your new sounds (JOKE!). 2. Requirements. To Use this program you need a GS/General Midi compatible instrument like the roland SC-55/JV-30/JW-50/SC-7...( With the current version of this program Korg 03R/W or Yamaha TG-100 are not supported because of SYSEX addresses differences, but they will be soon implemented ). You also need an Amiga computer (A500,600,1200,1500,2000,2500,3000,4000... all models) plus a Midi Interface to connect your synth to the Amiga. This program is compatible with all(#!?) Amiga configurations, tested on an Amiga 2000B-HD40Mo-3MoRam,Amiga 500 68030 25Mhz, OS 1.2,1.3,3.0 but if it doesn't works perfectly on your configuration, please feel free to contact me (Christophe CARVAJAL) and specify me what's your config and the bug(s) that occured plus your OS version number (TESTED on 1.2,1.3,3.0). 3.
