Basically, the lawyers set it up so that they would use the law that
protects the creditors most. (US AND Bahamian)

Gould and Ali are protesting because under US law, they will have to pay
back the millions of $$$'s they took just before the liquidation. Under
US law, what they did is illegal (they paid themselves off, and left the
rest of the creditors to fight over the remains). Not exactly insider
trading, but similar and against the law in a bankruptcy.

Under Bahamian law, they (their money) are protected. I see this as a
major conflict of interests and they should be excluded on those grounds
alone!

Well, it seems that the US courts, the Bahamanian courts, and the creditors
finally came to an agreement on a set of law to use for the liquidation: a
hybrid of US and Bahamanian law.

The significant portions of US law being brought in are the notorious "auction"
which we have yet to see, and the investigation 12 months into company
financial history. Bahamanian law only allows 3.

Now, who knows what was going on at Commodore in those extra 9 months? Gould
and Ali do. Apparently, they don't want the courts to.
