Welcome to the new ACCUG Amiga club disk format. I have changed the format of our club disk for several reasons. The main one being that people continue to ask "How do I extract this file.", so I have added automatic extract scripts that will automatically take a given file archive apart. Another reason for changing the disk format is the wealth of information that I get off of the electronic networks I frequent. I have been giving this information to our publisher for inclusion into the monthly newsletter, but I have seen only one or two of these actually published. Although this disk works great under WorkBench 1.3, I have used the default icon colors from WorkBench 2.04 so the icons will look a little strange under WorkBench 1.3. My program that checks to see if there is sufficient space on a disk to extract the files will occasionally lock up and report empty disks as being full. Just re-run the Set_Up script and if that fails, you will have to re-boot. I am looking into the problem as I may not be following all Commodore's rules for making resident programs 'pure'. This has only happened to me once so far, so I don't see it as being much of a problem. If you have any trouble with it PLEASE let me know. I also had some difficulty writing a script that will work properly for extracting archive files for users with only a single disk drive. My solution was to copy the archive to the RAM: drive first. This saves the single floppy disk user from hundreds of multiple disk swaps, but they MUST have sufficient RAM available to hold the archive being taken apart. Since I can not check for all possible hardware/software combinations, if you have any difficulties with this disk PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Enjoy.
