They're in the normal dir tree. Some files were omitted since they could already be found here. Major changes at Aminet: COMPILATION COPYRIGHT. Starting from now, Aminet has a compilation copy- right. Putting up a mirror or making >100M of it publicly available now requires my permission. I will only deny permission to sites/companies who are not giving back anything to the Internet community. If you don't like the new policy, stop uploading and/or have your uploads removed. Note, putting CD-ROM's online in a BBS is always allowed. THE NEW CD-ROM IS OUT. To get information about how to order, read the pub/aminet/README or talk to orders@cdrom.com . The new ROM is a complete snapshot of Aminet, with most mods and demos omitted. REVIEWS. The comp.sys.amiga.reviews articles are now stored on Aminet. This is mainly to make sure they end up on the CD-ROM. At the moment at the moment they're configured to show up in the RECENT lists, if you don't like that plese tell me. The dir is docs/rview/. FINGER SERVICE. You can now 'finger aminet@ftp.etsu.edu' to see the RECENT file. fish/ is gone, and the files from there are in the normal Aminet tree. The fish/ tree was mainly a refuge for old program versions anyway. If you're looking for software you know to be on Fish disks, search the Aminet INDEX for it. You'll often find a newer version. If you insist on disk numbers, use the Fish sites quoted at the bottom. os20/ and os30/ are gone for similar reasons: They forced OS 2.0 owners to look in different places when they were looking for, say, a WB program: In util/wb and in os20/wb. 93% of the Usenet readers have OS 2.0 now, so there are few 1.3 owners who could feel disturbed by the OS 2.0 programs in the normal tree. os30/ had only 70 files, so I removed it too. boing/ is being integrated into Aminet.
