Stabilizes a Phantasm by infusing it with preexistent ectoplasm of Force = The Force of the Resulting Phantom. If Sustained for 5 Complex Actions per Tgt Force, the effect is permanent, the target Phantasm becoming is all ways a normal, uncontrolled Phantom. A Phantom with a Specific True Name cannot be formed without the use of a Praenomen spell (cf). Alternatively, the caster may use EEP dice at 1 TEEP die = 1 Force, 1 PEEP die = 2 Force.

Allows the Necromancer to discern his own True Name. It may only be cast once, obviously. This has several advantages and disadvantages: On the advantage side, it allows the caster a deeper insight into his own nature, giving him a -2 to his Necrosis Rating and one additional Karma pool die, as well as being a requirement before ShadowHeart or Sigil spells can be cast. Because the Ritual involves the encoding of this awareness into Material form, it creates a Thesis "Ordeal" automatically, and in much less time than normal. On the DISadvantage side, a Thesis has significant disadvantages as well, and once cast, the Necromancer is vulnerable to True Name manipulation using Conjuring skill exactly as if he were a Free Spirit, and the True Name information is included in the "thesis" produced.

This spell is a Prep spell to allow the Necromancer to Summon and Bind a Portent-Class Spirit Of The Dead (Genus Avitalarum: Bean Nigh, Kami, Hun Hsien, Ancestral Oracles, etc. NOTE: Totemic Ancestral Spirits canNOT be called with this spell. Like any Totems, they appear at THEIR Will. See the Critter Description for More Details). The Force of the Spell cast must be equal to or greater than the Force of the Conjured Spirit, and must be learned specific to each "species" of Spirit summonable.

This spell is a Prep spell to allow the Necromancer to Summon and Bind a Nephelim-Class Spirit Of The Dead (Genus Teneblemurae: Grims, Wraiths, Baka, Shades, and Gheisrheid. NPCs ONLY! can also use this spell to conjure ACTUAL Nephelim and Blood Spirits). Note that these Spirits are the Ghostly remnants of NON-HUMAN Beings -- they are often violent and insane by human definitions, frequently toxic and corruptive by even unbiased definitions, and ALWAYS Dangerous. The Force of the Spell cast must be equal to or greater than the Force of the Conjured Spirit, and must be learned specific to each "species" of Spirit summonable.

This spell is a Prep spell to allow the Necromancer to Summon and Bind a Revenant-Class Spirit Of The Dead (Genus Animorticinus: Revenants, Wights, Litches, or Corpse Cadavre) Note that this spell CALLS a Spirit "permanently" anchored to a Physical Body, thus there may be a delay between the Conjuring and the appearance of the Called Spirit -- in any case, the casting of this spell ****automatically**** precipitates a Control Contest. The Force of the Spell cast must be equal to or greater than the Force of the Conjured Spirit, and must be learned specific to each "species" of Spirit summonable.

This is a spell of vengeance, and in some cases Justice. It sensitizes the target to a very specific subset of ghostly presence: anyone the target has ever killed (or kills after the spell is cast and is still in effect) will appear around the target as a normal Phantasm (cf). The target will be able to see and hear these phantasms (and only these, unless he can otherwise interact with ghosts), and the phantasms will, as their sentience permits, be aware that the target is their killer and attempt (within their abilities) to warn others of the target's actions and untrustworthiness or danger.

Binds a Ghost into its Bodily Remains, giving it the "Body Ties" Weakness. If a "Body Ties" weakness already exists (Including a Quickened or Spell Locked Chains Of The Flesh spell), the spell forces the Ghost to be physically constrained into its remains with no innate ability to move them. The spell must be cast at a Force Greater than or equal to the Force of the Target Spirit, the Tgt# being a resisted Force test, the Ghost being within LOS, and the Caster physically touching the bodily remains.

Used to allow a Ghost to inhabit the Body of the Necromancer in order to communicate. This process is called "Channelling", and pits the Necromancer's Mediumship skill against the Spirits Force. The Ghost, if it DESIRES such a situation, may add it's Force as Dice to the roll, but doing so costs it a point of Force or Spirit Energy. If the Spirit does NOT wish to be channeled, the roll is an opposed one, the Ghost rolling it's Force vs. a Tgt# equal to the Necromancers Mediumship Rating. This ALSO costs the Ghost a point of Force or Spirit Energy. The Base Time for such Channelling is 1 min. per Force...the Medium may divide extra successes between adding dice to Willpower rolls to control his own body while Channeling and increasing the Base time. Channeling a Spirit as opposed to Conjuring it has several advantages for both Necromancer and Ghost: For the Ghost, while it must remain in the Channeller's body, it is NOT subject to being forced to perform "services", and its ectoplasmic
form is shielded from the fluctuations occurring in Material Reality. For the Necromancer, Channeling is MUCH faster (1 min. per level of the Tgt Spirit), and doesn't require conjuring materials, etc. It also provides a simple way to allow more powerful spirits than the Necromancer could Conjure to be contacted. Also UNlike actual Conjuring, the Drain test is made when the Spirit LEAVES the Caster's body.

This spell is used to prepare an item that ghosts will find particularly fascinating: This effect only applies to Ghosts with the Obsessive/Compulsive Weakness. Things particularly compelling include loose change, a handful of jigsaw puzzle pieces, new/original Palindromes, etc. The number of Success on the casting roll indicates the Tgt number addition for Ghosts to resist giving in to their Weakness and hovering nearby, totally focused on fulfilling their compulsive behavior.

Casting this spell in a Ghosts presence or on mortal remains allows the caster to make an Astral Quest to discover the True Name of the Tgt Spirit. This Name may be used in future Conjuring attempts to Call and Bind Free Spirit type Ghosts. At the GM's discretion, the spell may be used on a Living target if and only if the caster has Soulstriked the target and Soulfires-devoured the resultant cast Phantasm. This use on non-dead souls even if a portion of the victim's soul is held within the caster requires that ALL tests be made at DOUBLE the normal Tgt# for the Caster, and HALVING all Tgt#'s for the Target: This spell is NOT particularly designed to affect Living Souls. The cases where it can are more a side-effect than an intent.

This spell is used virtually always in conjunction with Quickening or Anchoring the spell. It allows the caster to Conjure and Bind a Grim (cf) to guard a particular location or item. It exists as a separate spell because Grim's are MUCH more readily callable/controllable than any other form of Nephelim (Genus Teneblemurae). As other "Call" spells, the spell must be cast at a level at LEAST equal to that of the conjured Grim.
