============================================================================= SportsWare South DISTRIBUTION POLICY ============================================================================= This file, VENDOR.DOC, describes the terms by which SportsWare South permits other parties to distribute this program throughout the world. General terms: 1. Distribution by modem: SportsWare South allows and encourages all bulletin board systems and online services to distribute this game by modem as long as no files are altered or removed, except as provided. If a distribution fee is charged for this software, you must additionally ensure that: A. The file is identified as a shareware evaluation. B. The shareware concept is explained adequately online. 2. Distribution of single programs by floppy disk: Shareware vendors may distribute this program alone on a floppy disk if the following conditions are met: A. You explain the shareware concept and describe this program as shareware. B. SportsWare South is credited as the publisher of this software anywhere such credits are appropriate. C. You sell the evaluation diskette for less that $8. D. If you wish, you may include your own installation routines with this program. E. No files are modified or deleted except as provided below. 3. CD-Roms and multi-disk packs: Due to the changing nature of these programs as each season passes by, CD-ROM distribution may not be advantageous. However, SportsWare South does hereby permit such distribution. 4. Any distribution in a retail environment: Any party wishing to sell SportsWare South products in a retail environment should clearly state that the programs are shareware. 5. Bundling with hardware: You may bundle SportsWare South Shareware versions with new hardware as long as you don't modify or delete any program files except as outlined below. 6. Deletion or modification of files: Many SportsWare South products are part of a family of similar products. If you wish to combine the football trivia games into one or more separate releases, you may do so. And at that time you may remove the FILE-ID.DIZ file from each game and replace it with an appropriate replacement. You may also delete all but one README.DOC, REGISTER.DOC, VENDOR.DOC, and CATALOG.DOC file, changing the wording in the remaining files to clearly indicate that the user has a "collection" of shareware games, rather than just one. 6. Revocation of the agreement: Permission to copy and distribue shareware versions of SportsWare South product is expressly implied by this agreement, but may be revoked at any time for failure to live up to its terms.
