Lotto

               This lotto program supports a 49 number lotto system as used
          by the State of Washington. Works for any lotto using 49 numbers,
          six picks, no free, alternates, etc.

               Earlier versions  were written  using QuickBASIC  3.0, which
          required the  presence of  Microsoft's BRUN30.EXE. I  rewrote the
          program using  Turbo Pascal 5.5. Version 7.10+  has been compiled
          with Turbo Pascal 7.0, which is somewhat smaller and faster. Also
          said  "Public Domain" which has now been changed to "Freeware" to
          show that I retain the copyrights but that no fee is sought.

               Because computers  are getting  faster and faster  I had  to
          increase  the delay on the  counter display. This  slows down the
          slower computers, but it is unavoidable.

               New to version 8.0  is that no background color  changes are
          made  and the printout is slightly different. The program now can
          put five sets of lotto  numbers on a page. In Washington  State a
          set is one  $5 pick, or one full card. This  is two picks for $1.
          Earlier versions just double spaced the printouts without doing a
          real page  routine. The only thing,  as in all  versions, is that
          your  printer must be set to IBM  characters since this is what I
          use to  make lines on the screen. If your  printer is not set for
          IBM you will get odd  letters or characters instead of lines.  If
          you are using a PC or PC compatible computer your  printer should
          be set to IBM either by dip switch or software setup.

               The program is pretty straight forward.  If you want another
          set you  just press "Y", upper  or lower case. If  you don't want
          another set press "N". If  you want to print out the  current set
          press "P". If  you want instructions or program information while
          running the program you can press "I".

               The  red display  on the  screen is  a random  pick for  the
          Washington State two for $1. On  a mono screen you must watch for
          the ">>" at the start of the lines.

               Print out is the same  but here "<<<" at  the end of a  line
          designates the two picks made by  the computer. You can use these
          or ignore them.  If you  are using  this program  for other  than
          Washington State you can ignore the computer's double picks.
