SAGE3000 and DYNAMO PROFESSIONAL

  To reflect the continued investment in development and time on SAGE/DYNAMO
the new versions of these programs are more expensive. The programs will now
be marketed in different versions - the existing versions (ie. SAGE2600 and
DYNAMO STANDARD) will remain available at the 12 pound (US:$24) price mark
(slightly cheaper in the UK) for the general public, whereas the new versions
(SAGE3000 and DYNAMO PROFESSIONAL) cost 29 pounds (US:$49), with many extra
features for the enthusiast and serious player. New features include better
game-play, extended opening/end-game databases with the ability for the user
to modify the database, advanced game annotation, ability to export games to
a wordprocessor, and more. For instance, you can play/enter the moves of a
game, then annotate individual moves and insert diagrams at any point, then
print the results on your printer, or export to a DOS text file - just like a
"word-processor" for draughts! SAGE and DYNAMO's documentation and packaging
are also improved, up to a professional level.

  The playing power of SAGE and DYNAMO are significantly improved - for
instance games played by SAGE3000 against other major programs (Colossus,
Cornell checkers, Checkers 3.0, etc..) lead us to believe that SAGE is as
strong as or stronger than any other PC program. To demonstrate SAGE's power,
have a look at this facinating game:-

  Also supplied with SAGE3000 or DYNAMO PRO is BASIC CHECKERS, a simple 8x8
draughts program with its BASIC source code, so you can learn how draughts
programs work, and have a stab at writing your own program! BASIC CHECKERS
will run under the QBASIC interpreter, which you will find is supplied free
with MSDOS 5 or 6 - it will also work with any QUICKBASIC compatible compiler
- even on other computers like the MAC, ST, etc.

  However, remember that the cheaper versions are NOT crippled in any way -
you will still find these programs strong enough to take on the worlds best
players! SAGE3000 and DYNAMO PROFESSIONAL are now out - if you use an earlier
version of SAGE/DYNAMO you can upgrade by paying the difference in price -
ie. send us 17 pounds, or $25 US, telling us when you bought SAGE/DYNAMO.
