Extreme AMOS Pages!Hello and welcome. These pages are dedicated to my AMOS disk magazine, Extreme AMOS. It is currently in its third issue, with the fourth issue well under construction, and soon to be released. The latest issues of extreme AMOS can be downloaded from HERE so you will always be up to date. Keep checking these pages for all the latest developments. If you wish to get involved with the latest issues of Extreme AMOS, by sending graphics/articles/games then keep reading further down for more information. Previous Issues of EA!Want to get hold of older copies of Extreme AMOS? They are on most Aminet mirrors at Dev/AMOS named as EAIssue1a.Lha etc. Note that Issues 1 and 2 are floppy versions only, and need the run-tine decrunchers to work. If booting via floppy they will automatically start running. If you would like to receive them via email, then please take the time to fill out this form. Please fill in all sections correctly. It will be sent to the correct address when you hit the SUBMIT button. If you dont intend to use the form for the correct purposes, then please dont send it, as this is a pain in my ass. Any orders which want all issues sending, with all disks, will require you to reply to an email I send to the address to confirm. Any requests for Issue 3, disk 1, will be sent as a floppy version only. The HD version can be downloaded from here, so wont be sent out via email. Extreme AMOS News + Involvement! On April 22nd, the revamped Extreme AMOS will be 1 year old! To celebrate this occasion, I thought it was about time that I released a new edition of the magazine. I hope that people will take an interest in helping contributing to the magazine, in the way of articles, adverts, messages for other AMOS members, graphics, games (and their screenshots if possible), reviews of AMOS products/extensions, and absolutely anything else that could possible relate to AMOS. I would like to be able to stuff 2 disks full of articles and bits, so that I can release the issue as a 3-disk program if possible! At the moment, I dont have very many articles. Since Extreme AMOS 3 was released, I have not had more than 3 or 4 articles submitted to me. This is a shame, as I have had lots and lots of letters and emails asking for a fourth edition, and it would have been nice to recive a few articles from these people. I also need screenshots from recent AMOS games and utilities (just break into your code, and SAVE IFF "File",0 and email it me with the game) so that when I come to doing reviews, I can include a nice screenshot to get the message across. I already have an engine in which to host the magazine. It is a similar version to EA3, except the reader now has 14 IFF fonts installed into it, which can all be called via small character-control keys, meaning that IFF adverts can now be saved onto a disk, with the size of a text file. A full editor will be included on the issue, so adverts can be submitted. If you have a text advert, ranging from 5 to 100 lines, then why not send it to me via email or snail mail, and I will be happy to include it. Please state with your adverts if it is OK for me to use them as guinea pigs, so I can test my routines with them, add control characters etc. so its not boring plain text. There is also an IFF advert section which you are more than welcome to contribute adverts to. Please, use no more than 32 colours, and preferably, a screen resolution no bigger than 640X256 otherwise they take up too much disk space. If you are contributing IFF adverts, I would be gratefull for an AMOS related article to include also. If there are any graphics artists out there who would like some of their work published, then why not send that in as well. I would like to have a series of backgrounds to choose from, so would appreciate anything that is sent to me. There will also be an IFF gallery section where your work could appear, depending on the space I have on the disks. Please note, that I also suggest that you include an AMOS related article if you want several pieces to appear on my disks. Contact Me!!If you want to get in touch with me to answer any questions you may have, or if you have things you would like to have included in Extreme AMOS 4, then you can either email them to me at mpd@mushy-pd.demon.co.uk or you can post them to me at this postal address: 75 North Perry street Elizabethtown, PA 17022-1146 USA |
