The AMOS mailing list!Are you an AMOS coder, either just beginning to learn the language, or have been at it for some time. Isnt it frustrating when you get stuck on a particular part of the coding. Well, there is a solution. Why not become a member of the AMOS mailing list, on which lots of other AMOS coders just like yourself are subscribed, and often discuss problems, and help each other out. This is a free service offered by some very kind people. Subscribing to the list is extremely simple if you have access to an email account. On average, the list can produce up to 15-20 emails a day. You dont even have to have AMOS to be on the list. To join, send an email to amos-request@access.digex.net in the form of: SUBSCRIBE amos-list (your email address) So for example, say I was going to subscribe to the list (of which I am already a member) I would use: SUBSCRIBE amos-list mpd@mushy-pd.demon.co.uk Please dont attach a signature to the email, as it is a bit pointless. You may use signatures when posting messages to the list. To post an article to the list, just write it as a normal email, and send it to amos-list@access.digex.net where it will be processed and sent out to every member on the list, including a copy to yourself if you are a member. There is also an AMOS newsgroup available on the net, at alt.religion.amos of which a few people post to, although it is not as popular as the mailing list. It is also un-accessable on the American side of EfNet newsgroups, so it tends to be left alone. Could anyone out there possibly set up a newsgroup called comp.sys.amiga.amos so everyone can have acces to it? Im not sure how to go about it, otherwise I would do it myself.
