If you see messages about not being able to apply a patch, do not panic you may already have the higher version. These patches are applied to the files "L/MSDOSFileSystem" and "DEVS/mfm.device" on your CrossDOS installation disk. You can install the patches from either WORKBENCH or the CLI. To install the patches from the CLI, type the following: cd ; the directory where the patch files are. execute patchMFS df0: ; df0: or drive where CrossDOS disk in. To install the patches from WORKBENCH, select the "patchMFS" icon and extend-select (with shift key held) the CrossDOS installation disk icon. ["ICONX" is assumed to be in your "C:" directory.] The messages should display the status of the patching process. Once the patches are applied, you should re-install the new "L/MSDOSFileSystem" and "DEVS/mfm.device" into your "L:" and "DEVS:" directories respectively. ******************************************* Distribution Rights Please distribute this archive INTACT to any legal bulletin board.
