As many of you arexx coder out there use RMS to TRY to protect arexx sources from beeing looked up by any other coder may have had the problem to forget your own decrypt codes for the rms files. Also a guy from the scene named himself decrypted some of my doors (i still don`t know where he got those files from, because the names of the doors in his spread archive where allover the same than in my UPDATE DOOR only installed on MY BBS!!!) Maybe he use a kinda of this tool .. i don`t care anymore. So i decided to make you all happy and wrote this small tool (in arexx, sure!) NOTE: THIS DECRYPT ROUTINE ONLKY WORKS WITH: RMS v0.5a! There are some other versions out which sport crypt keys longer 4 chars! If you have such a version please lemme know and i`ll include the decrypt for it! The Usage: ~~~~~~~~~~ It`s really simple kind of ... Just enter the name of the rms file right behind the toolname ... E.G: RexxDecrypt bbs:doors/Test.rms IF this one is an UNPACKED and UNMODIFIED RMS file the decryption code will be displayed on screen and you can use this in RMS to decrypt the file! Why this tool?: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Why an arexx coder make such a tool??" you may ask .. Well ... don`t know! Just to proove that even an RMS`ed tool is not secure for you to spread around!? Maybe ... Or just for my own? Yes .. Because of all the beta testers and registered user i have ... They all have RMS versions of the doors and sometimes report me some "ERROR IN LINE #xxx" bugs ... but because of the fact that i NEVER note my different decryptin keys down anywhere i needed such a tool to look up the right line because RMS kills all blank lines and so they differ from the lines i have in the REXX versions. Just simple reason, eh? Or did i made this one especially for IC? Maybe .. maybe not! By the way i can announce to you that in the future (somewhen) i won`t use RMS anymore because our ASM coder(s) in SAD are working on some kinda RMS .. just better! Well .. we`ll see ... there will be a much better crypt algo. than in rms ... In the next version of RMS DECRYPT i`ll include a routine to DIRECTLY decrypt the rms file ... So you don`t need rms to do.!
