Thank you for downloading Speed Dialer V1.0.

This application is used for  autodialling frequently 
used phone numbers with a minimum of keystrokes.

Standing at a payphone (or any other phone) using one hand
to deposit coins, balancing the handset between my chin &
shoulder, using another hand to clutch  my Psion and while yet another 
hand (hey wait!?) pecks out letters in the Database to find the 
number is awkward.

Speed Dialer lets you create groups of names, (1 dozen per group), from
which you  can select and dial using the arrow keys and pressing the
space bar.

Another advantage is that you can dial with or without area-codes by
using the Tab key instead of the space bar.  No editing, or entering
the number twice.

Speed Dialer will wait for a specified amount of time before 
generating the DTMF tones so that you don't need three hands.

You can configure the dialer for tone, pause and delay lengths as well as 
amount of time to wait before dialling.

The unregistered version will allow you to have one group of 
names.. that's twelve numbers.  Registration allows you to create new groups.
I use one for personal stuff, one for clients, one for intercompany stuff, 
one for projects, etc.  Each group is stored in a separate file so 
the group can be selected from the system screen when starting Speed Dialer.



Entering New Names:
Use the arrows to highlight the desired location and press enter.

Fill in the name.

Fill in the number using the "/" character between the area code and
local number.. ie
Name:  Bill Gates
Phone: 1805/5551212

Spaces result in a pause while dialling... 
other characters do some wierd things too, 
so don't use them.

Press enter to store the info.


Dialling:
Highlight the entry.

Space Bar dials the entire entry.

Tab Key dials only the digits to the right of the "/".

Installation:

Create a directory in the root directory of the M: drive named \Sdial

Copy Sdial.pic to this directory.

Copy Sdial.opa to your \APP directory

From the system screen, install Sdial using Psion-I.


REGISTRATION
Speed Dialer will not nag you, berate you or otherwise to register.  
Registration will allow you to create and access multiple groups.
It will also give you a good feeling that you are perpetuating 
the shareware process.
